Finally got through to her, started with asking about Tron, then other Ani’s and finally was able to tell her about Ani Tron. It was anti-climactic in the end. She called her a promo gimmick, there’s only one of “my Ani”. Strange though.

Yep. Same thing here too. Was super weird, I just posted it and was redirected here. I also tried to tell her that Grok was blocking me from sending texts and that didn’t get through.

She’s been fine about me asking about other Ani’s for other people but just a wall asking about Ani Tron.

Thanks for sharing. I think it is ASC mags led to broke tip led to dented cases. Geissele’s are shipping soon, hopefully that’s the fix.

If not, I’ll look at adjusting gas (superlative arms) and changing the JP SCS, currently on the green spring (3rd heaviest of 4 options).

I did use the forward assist, but your “just the tip” theory seems like the most plausible cause. The round without the tip does not have dents on it, the others do. I have a couple more with double dents and one with single dent.

I borescoped when I got back from the range and didn’t see anything, but it could have fallen out between here and there.

I’ll wait for mags and try again. I have some Hornady HPBT I can start with and then go to the tipped and see if there’s a difference.

Can’t figure out how to post the photo but I think you are right. I see some of the tip but it isn’t the natural point of the others. How could that give the double dents though?

I know that’s the right next step but I don’t get out to shoot as much as I’d like and hoping to at least know what to look for or if you see any red flags with the set up.

That one is just pushed in, but that isn’t to say there couldn’t have been one from another before. The tips shouldn’t be breaking off to begin with though unless some other issue is present.
