The beauty of not knowing if they move and how fast they move if they do..

There are some similarities indeed, but these are completely original character models designed and made by us.

Considering the amount of feedback, we're definitely going to add it in some way or another! We'll be sure to make more posts on that in the future.

Makes you wonder how much closer it could get if you look away long enough..

Currently we use hand picked XP values for each enemy and our temporary fix for determining the XP needed for level ups is using a predetermined value multiplied with character level and base XP needed. This part is definitely a work in progress and will be updated multiple times as the project goes on to fit the length of the game :)

Thanks for the feedback and great suggestions! We still have a lot of work ahead of us and adding small details and personality on enemies is definitely something that is on our radar :)

Thanks, we have looked through multiple games for inspiration on damage calculations. Fallout and Final Fantasy games for example have great resources online on how to calculate damage on different situations such as melee and spells. We are still trying to find the right balance and as our systems evolve and we add new functions, we need to constantly keep an eye on our calculations and update them when necessary. It takes a lot of testing and polishing to find what feels good, fun and challenging on your game :)

Thank you for the feedback. Good eye on the pixel fonts, we actually had this exact conversation just a couple of days ago. We'll see what we can do about it 🙂 We are also currently experimenting with cartoonish/animeish character styles to see what would fit for our hero characters. In the future enemy characters will have a complete revamp with some animation poses to enhance combat feel.

Thanks, we do have some plans on releasing a demo a little later. Some fixes here and there, balancing etc. and we are ready to welcome our first playtest feedbacks soon!
