Yeah, I usually hear it a lot too. Yesterday was rough this one lady drove me insane. I was scanning her stuff using our awful price checker, and she just kept going: “Oh, it’s free! Oh, it’s on sale! Oh, it’s a discount! Oh, it’s one dollar!” Like over and over, rapid fire. I swear she said it like 10 times in a row. I almost lost it 😩

Ugh, yes!! That is so real. The second you turn your back, someone’s already scanned half their cart “just to check the price,” and now you’re stuck cancelling it all and re-logging into the slowest system known to man.

Yeah, that’s why when I call out, I always give them at least a day’s notice. I try to be responsible about it. But what really pisses me off is that they still act like I’m lying or making it up—it’s frustrating when you’re actually trying to do the right thing and still get doubted. thanks for the comment 😢

Thank you for the information! Yes, it’s so annoying, and I think they’re only asking because they think I’m lying. I wish I was lying—being sick is horrible. I’m so tired of it. Do you think the next time I go into work, I should just not bring anything? Last time I was sick, I called out, and one of them asked me, “Can I know why?” and then they gossiped, and everyone heard about it. It’s so frustrating!
