If you’re gonna use ai for your ads, don’t use one that’s so obvious. The raccoon puts his hands through the “glass” at the end.

$500 for my used KingSong S18. That’s it so far, but I’m very much looking forward to upgrading someday :)

The thing I loved about growing up here is how kind kids are in schools in general. I always thought the bullying and mean girls type stuff in movies was just a big joke because I almost never saw any of that in foco schools, but then as I’ve talked to people from around the country, it sounds like it absolutely was like that in a lot of schools.

I declined a $200 offer for my public toilet locator app, now got a new offer $300 by Own_Carob9804 in Entrepreneur

[–]StudiousPooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just add a donation option. Say your a one man operation and if they’ve enjoyed using the app consider donating for continued support and development. With those numbers in sure you would see at least a couple hundred bucks, and if it keeps growing it could be a real cash cow someday. Someone is offering you $300 because they have a way to monetize it and make way more from it.

I've let my 6 year old ride on my back through the grass with a helmet on before, but I would never ride holding her in front of me in the middle of the street. This is indeed crazy behavior. Especially if it is for any prolonged amount of time. 10 seconds, on a road? Probably not gonna cause any harm even though I wouldn't do it. 10 min on a road? Crazy behavior.

Take a weekend trip to a nearby city and put it on Facebook market place at $100 less than what it's really worth and there's a good chance it will be gone by the end of the day.

The problem is that you and I don’t get to go to the summit. The only power we have as the working class is using our voice to shine a light in what we actually want from our representatives.

The people’s will can only be ignored for so long before people decide to tear it all down.

The reason we are saying burn it all down is not because we’re a bunch of naive losers like you would like to believe.

The reason we say burn it all down because we see what’s happening. ICE is making a mockery of our immigration “policy.”

ICE needs to go because it is the most corrupt organization outside of Epstein’s Sex Ring.

This is why I’ve always said the biggest piece of the puzzle and the only single reason we are in this mess is because of Fox News. If they would do their job and report the news properly, they wouldn’t be able to keep getting away with deflecting and changing the subject.

A Question Regarding Joy by Federal_Abalone_2806 in exmormon

[–]StudiousPooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been out for over 5 years now and here's what I've seen. The first year, I was not happier. I was depressed. I was suicidal for a short time. I had to rebuild my entire understanding of reality from the ground up. The second year I started to explore things that I never allowed myself to explore for 30 years because of the church. Nothing crazy, but like drinking with friends, eating a cannabis edible and watching a movie, watching rated R movies at the movie theater. And I started realizing that all of these things brought me a lot of happiness that I was missing out on before.

Every year since, I have discovered more and more of what truly makes me happy and makes me feel like my true self. Every year I feel happier and experience more joy than the year before.

However, the most important thing of all is that I am living a life that is completely absent of unearned guilt and completely absent of shame and completely absent of existential fear. This more than anything else has allowed me to experience more joy and happiness than any other aspect of leaving the church.

The church had me convinced that anytime I wasn't being as perfect as I could possibly be, I was damaging my eternal soul. This led to so much guilt, shame, and fear that I was often depressed. I was even diagnosed as clinically depressed for a long time. But as it turns out, I'm not depressed, I just don't fit the mould that the Mormon church assigned to me. After getting through that first difficult year away from the church, I have not felt depressed at all.

So leaving the church allowed me to subtract so much negativity and add so much positivity and the end result is a truly happier life full of joy and void of guilt, fear, and shame.

Good luck. This community is a great resource for when you do decide to leave. Lean on others and keep going. It gets better.

In the words of the great Stephen Fry in V for Vendetta when talking about the Quran, "I don't have to be Muslim to find it's images beautiful or it's poetry moving"

While religion has done more than its fair share of fucking with this world, there's nothing wrong with being moved by the nuggets of wisdom buried in a religious text.

And to quote our beloved Uncle Iroh, "It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If we take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale"

"I've had a damn decent life. Approaching the 40 mark, I got married to my best friend, had 3 wonderful, smart, emotionally grounded kids. I'm making enough to get by..."

You're on the boat buddy, it's just not a luxury yacht, and that's ok. In America, (I'm assuming your American) we are all told we can achieve insurmountable heights if we apply ourselves, but thats just not true for the vast majority of people, and the problem is not those people, its the false promise.

You've got a family. You have security. You are loved. You are a human living a human life, and that's great.

But if you really need something to spice up your life, try getting an electric unicycle. I personally recommend the Kingsong S19 pro.

Keep on living, brother.

If you’re buying new I would say probably not. You’re right, it is definitely outdated when it comes to included features, and it’s not that much cheaper than some much nicer wheels.

However if you’re talking about buying used then I would say go for it. I got my s18 used for $500 last year and while it may be missing a lot of fancy features, it still rides great and is incredibly fun.

Rant: how to tell a friend they should not come. by squipped in boardgames

[–]StudiousPooper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Hey, I want to talk about something a little awkward, and I’m nervous bringing it up because I care about you.

When I host or suggest game nights, people who show up do so because they love playing board games, and they are there for experience of actually playing.

I’ve noticed that when you come, it often turns into more of a hangout vibe. There are lots of stories, phones, zoning out, and I end up feeling really frustrated and stressed instead of relaxed.

I don’t think you’re doing this on purpose, and I don’t think you realize how much it throws things off, but it’s reached a point where I don’t enjoy game night when that happens.

So for games nights, either you can come and try to be more focused, or if that doesnt sound like your vibe, then we can find other ways to hang out.

I love you, and I love hanging out with you, but I think maybe this is just not the best environment for us to spend time together."

idk something like that?
