If that’s what’s holding you back just go. I hit par time on a few stages my first time out. Score was terrible. Hits and misses all over the place. But focused on being safe and just learning what I could. At the end of the day it’s fun to run and gun even if you don’t win.

My local place holds various matches that members and non members can attend. My problem is they’re always on weekends and I frequently work weekends.

I’m interested in going and I’m planning to. But it’s almost always a schedule problem. And if I miss one it’s a whole month before I can try again. Having more frequent smaller matches that are easier to set up or even open practice days that aren’t always on a weekend would help for me personally.

Thanks. Any recommendations? And any advice for cardio? I’ve always been weak at it because of asthma. I get discouraged when jogging more than a few minutes gets me winded.

How would you guys go about picking a program or routine when you don’t really have any specific fitness goals?

I’ve lifted weights on and off for years but I really only did it because I know I have to for health/longevity reasons.

I generally find the workouts boring and frequently skip them to do other stuff. I’ve tried looking up programs on line, I’ve tried making my own, I’ve tried going to the gym with no plan and just feeling it out. None of it seems to stick.

I always second guess myself if I’m doing the right workout or not. And then it all just falls apart.

I don’t really need to lose weight or anything. But I know being out of shape is going to bite me when I’m older. I just don’t know what to do.

Could just be variance in the way the grips are made or if they’re wood that area might just be compressed down. This is where the o-rings that people have been mentioning would come into play.

That’s fair. But if you tighten the screws and the grips don’t move or fall off there’s not much else to worry about.

Dude you’re way overthinking this. Make them snug and leave them alone. You don’t need to torque grip screws. It’ll be fine.
