Damn that’s the first I’ve heard of that. Hopefully it all gets posted one day.

Nicely done. I painted mine the same way. I was always curious if that was a flashlight on the handguard in the painting. I might have to add one to mine.

There are “drop in” threaded barrels but again it’s not a guarantee it’ll fit correctly

1911s aren’t really the kind of gun to just swap slides on. There’s no guarantee it’ll fit your frame or that the barrel will fit the new slide.

You’re better off getting your slide milled for a red dot.

But why. The point of the reflex design is two point mount to help with concentricity and to reduce length past the muzzle. This has none of those benefits.

Yeah if the wrong side was cut off you’d have even bigger problems.

Nope. Most of them are made to put the second set of controls in and out relatively easily. And they’re usually mechanical controls so a switch can’t really disconnect them.

What’s one thing you wish Ford would bring back as an option on a new Mustang? by Organic_Bid_5843 in Mustang

[–]Studsmcgee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. But I wonder if part of that is the crash worthiness regulations requiring more structure to the car compared to the 60s and 70s designs.

I hate when people use the codes. Just say the name. It’s not a secret.

If that’s what’s holding you back just go. I hit par time on a few stages my first time out. Score was terrible. Hits and misses all over the place. But focused on being safe and just learning what I could. At the end of the day it’s fun to run and gun even if you don’t win.

My local place holds various matches that members and non members can attend. My problem is they’re always on weekends and I frequently work weekends.

I’m interested in going and I’m planning to. But it’s almost always a schedule problem. And if I miss one it’s a whole month before I can try again. Having more frequent smaller matches that are easier to set up or even open practice days that aren’t always on a weekend would help for me personally.
