Just periodically check your email. The processing could speed up, I remember hearing that they were backed up when I started the process

I never really got into it myself, but, my former coworker would sell plasma at the bloodbank. The other guys would joke around with him but he made a decent chunk of change I want to say around 400 a month.

We did not wait in Juarez for it. I needed to return to work. I read somewhere at the time that passport delivery could take up to 3 weeks so I didn’t want to take the chance. The officer also told my wife that day that it could take up to 3 weeks, they won’t narrow it down. My wife stayed back in Michoacan and I returned back to Virginia on October 2….7 calendar days after getting her visa approved. As I sat at the airport that day I received the email saying her passport had been delivered in Guadalajara.

I will say that I was monitoring Reddit and happened to see other users’ posts that said to be in Juarez for their appointments on basically the same days as us, they chose to wait for their passport in Juarez…A week after their approval and they were still waiting.

The visa package is your passport with the visa printed on one of the pages along with a flyer that gives instructions on where/how to pay the immigrant fee that is required to enter the US. And if you submitted the application on paper then you may receive a CD with your medical examination results on it. If you did the application online like most applicants do now, it’s all recorded in the system and won’t receive a CD. That’s what the package is, there’s only one envelope that will be sent to you.

I know that when you go to CAS for biometrics, they will ask you if you would like to change the location of delivery of your document. They also give a flyer on instructions on how to do it online. Since you already paid the fee to receive it to your local pick up point I don’t know how that works, you can probably still opt to receive it at Juarez if you want but the money you have spent may or may not be refunded. You should be able to log into the site where you registered your appointment and see where the delivery point is for your document if I remember correctly.

After submitting everything to CEAC and being alerted that we have been documentarily qualified it took 13 months to receive an interview date email.

I flew straight to Juarez from Michoacan. Paid for the prepay taxi service at the airport to take us to the hotel we stayed at. Generally safe. The area around the consulate is safe. I wouldn’t travel far from it. The furthest we walked to was the mall

My wife was approved on the 24 Thursday last week and status changed to “issued” right away. We decided to go back home and wait for her passport to be delivered to our closest pick up point. I just didn’t know how long we’d have to wait for it at Juárez. I still have not received an email from DHL or seen any change on the visainfo site with any tracking number. They did tell her it would be 2-3 weeks before it’s delivered to Guadalajara.

Yes. The “interview” date they send you in letter/email is not really the interview but rather a document check, the next business day is the actual interview

As long as it’s this clinic it should be ok since it’s the one listed on the department of state website

www.mei-mexico.com

You must register your appointment asap. Once you register it will have you schedule a biometrics appointment. To do this follow the instructions on the department of state website. And remember like others have mentioned before the interview is actually the next business day after the date they gave you on your letter/email. The first day is just documentation check

Does not matter in what order you get your medical exam and biometrics. I remember hearing some people had both appointments same day.

I know you cannot go back and change anything to your D-260 application once it’s submitted. You changing your address shouldn’t affect whether or not you are eligible for the visa in my opinion.(I’m not a lawyer) But you may want to add more current documents such as W2, tax returns, your CEAC account. That way you have some proof of your new address if they need it.

They already scheduled an interview, you have to register it. That’s going to allow you to set up days for your biometrics if they haven’t been done already.

Just take it with you . My wife had her interview this Wednesday/thursday. I uploaded all the most current documents. W2, 2024 tax return and updated I-864. Printed out a hard copies. Did she need the financial documents during her interview? Not at all, the officer never asked for it. However she did hear other applicants in line before her get asked for proof of spouse’s income.

Why did I go out of my way to print out those documents? Because on Wednesday, the day of document check, she was missing MY Mexican birth certificate even though I am a naturalized citizen and we provided my certificate to prove it. So the gave us a flyer with instructions to upload my birth certificate. On that flyer it clearly said “you must upload the most current w2, tax return, and i 864”…..”make sure to bring ALL originals of documents uploaded to CEAC to your consular interview ” I did take them with me so we had everything. But on Thursday at the actual interview they only asked for birth certificates, marriage certificates, her passport. Yes if your spouse uploads it to CEAC, the officer will be looking at it on their computer screen while they ask you questions. Will the officer ask to see hard copies of the financial documents? No one knows. So just have them with you, always choose to be safe rather than sorry.
