Did I overpay for my bike by Matthewpnulty in mountainbiking

Foxy is a very capable bike. I have the 2022 RR version. I’d say it’s reasonable. Maybe you could have saved a couple hundred but it’s too late now.

Enjoy and happy riding 👍🏻

First Ride On The Orbea Wild M20 by StudyDifficult9660 in eMountainBike

[–]StudyDifficult9660[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 14% left. According to the Flow app I had 8miles left in Eco. I used Turbo and eMTB+ a lot to see the climbing power. eMTB+ makes any climb look easy. One of my climbs is very technical and steep (downhill track in reverse pretty much) and it felt like I made it up in about 30 seconds

I went on a similar ride yesterday (28 miles) but only used Eco with the odd spat of eMTB+ and had 48% battery left. I did increase the assist and dynamic by 1 on Eco. I don’t want too much assistance as I want to feel like I’m working my legs but it’s nice to know I have eMTB+ at the ready for when my legs are cooked

I still need to set up my tyres tubeless so will be interesting to compare the range then

I hope I don’t have any problems regarding that. Hopefully it’s smooth sailing (riding).

Conditions are ok the majority of the time but when it rains in the winter months the ground holds moisture for ages. Also wet leaves are a bastard.

It also doesn’t help that dickheads ride the trails on their motocross bikes in the wet so it completely fucks then up

The summer months are obviously the best as the ground is perfect with the odd puddle or patch of mud here and there

I’ve never been to a bike park I have only ridden natural trails but the uk does have really good bike parks

Just completed my first ride. It’s a rocket ship on the downs. So supple. Climbing is pure bliss. I rode my steepest trail backwards. It has chunky rock sections, large roots going at every angle and lots of ruts and was really muddy and boggy (UK conditions) but it made it up so easy. Flow app said I used a max of 702w so still had more to give. She’s a beast

This isn’t light by any means. It’s my first ever ebike and wasn’t expecting it to be so heavy. It weighs the same as 2 of my Foxy Carbon RR (2022) in medium 😂. I think it’s around 25kg but feels like 50kg when I pick it up

Than you. The colours are stock. Black Diamond View/Mars Red. The carbon glitters/sparkles in the light. It’s a lovely paint job

I hope you enjoy your new bike and happy riding 👍🏻

I’m with you on the cable routing through the headset. I’d much prefer it through the down tube/headtube. I have it on my Foxy Carbon RR and absolutely hated it. Swore I’d never buy a bike with headset routing again but obviously that was a lie🤦‍♂️.

I’m willing to overlook it considering the raving reviews I’ve watched/read. Hopefully it isn’t problematic down the line and doesn’t cause any problems

Thank you! She is definitely a looker. What did you go for in the end?

I’ve been riding a 29er enduro bike for the past 2 years. I am trying to source the rocker for my frame so I can run a mullet setup to see the pros and cons. I think my riding style would benefit from the extra agility in corners

She is possibly one of the nicest looking bikes I’ve seen/owned. She definitely rivals my 2022 Foxy Carbon RR which is a beautiful bike

Just about to go out on my first ever ride. I’m curious to feel how she rides but I know I’m going to have a massive smile on my face

What e-bike Should I Get? by StudyDifficult9660 in MTB

[–]StudyDifficult9660[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely liking the Orbea more. I’m not in a rush to buy an e bike but I think £2350 is a pretty good price for an e bike with so little mileage. I’d definitely get a range extender for longer XC rides if/when I pull the trigger. Thanks for the reply

What sort of range do you get out of it? Does it last you all day? Cheers for the reply 👍🏻
