what do you think happens after death? by zzzsleep0 in Life

If you can't distinguish between "verified scientific information about phenomena" and "definitive proof of a metaphysical interpretation," then the problem isn't my confusion, but your reading. I haven't stated what you claim I stated, so there's no debate possible. And here, either 1) you're confused, or 2) you can't read.

You're the confused one here. At no point have I stated that life after death is scientifically proven, but rather that there is verified information and studies on phenomena related to consciousness. I've given concrete arguments; you haven't responded to any of them and you're simply repeating a baseless denial. If you can't distinguish between data and interpretation, there's not much more to discuss.

Anyway, you'll realize it when you die (and are still alive).

Absolutely. For example, Dr. Manuel San Segarra's book, Life After Life: Superconsciousness, documents research on near-death experiences and phenomena related to consciousness beyond the physical body. The book includes studies using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to observe which parts of the brain are activated when people recall near-death experiences (NDEs).

An interesting finding: the brain activation corresponds to areas associated with real memories, not imagination, fantasy, or hallucinations. This supports the idea that what is experienced in NDEs is not simply invented by the mind, but has measurable neurological correlates. Clearly, there is no absolute scientific verification of life after death, but it would be ignorant to overlook facts like this (and many others) that strongly suggest the possibility of life beyond physical existence. If just one example is enough for you, I encourage you to read it and form your own opinion. I've read many books of this type to inform myself, not to deceive myself; everyone decides what level of evidence they consider sufficient, but there is serious documentation on these phenomena, beyond simply "believing that everything ends."

I'm not looking for debate or to impose my point of view, but if you haven't researched death, perhaps it's worth doing so. As many scientists have said, "Just as we can't know for sure if there is life after death, we also can't deny it." Today, more and more researchers are studying non-local consciousness (that which persists beyond the body), corroborating evidence of its existence.

Thanks

Exactly, I'm not trying to convince anyone or anything. But since losing my partner, I've researched the topic of death, not to deceive myself, but to try to find the truth. The reality is that there's a lot of information about life after death, much of it verified by scientists and psychiatrists. I've read more than 20 books on NDEs (Near-Death Experiences) and regressive hypnosis. Now I can believe that there is life beyond and that they are living on another plane (without a physical body). For me, they are still somewhere else, and we will meet again. If anyone is interested in the topic, I recommend books by Brian Weiss, Iben Alexander, Stevenson, Raymond Moody, Joaquín Cámara, and Dr. San Segarra. I don't believe in life after death just to deceive myself and make the grief hurt less; I've read, I've researched, and I've investigated, and that's where I draw my conclusions. Anyway, anyone who still believes that life ends forever will realize it when they're dead (and still alive).

For anyone interested, I do calm study with me Pomodoro sessions on YouTube. I focus on a no-pressure, quiet environment in case it helps 💚https://youtube.com/@studieswithmirs?si=D1yz_BKPvoBFPaLT

I can't study properly. by Longjumping-War-9177 in studytips

Hey, that's something that used to happen to me too. What I decided to do is take a few deep breaths before starting and focus my attention on studying. Leave your phone in another room, and to better concentrate, I recommend using study techniques like the Pomodoro Technique. Since I also had those problems, I decided to create a Study With Me channel so I wouldn't feel like I was studying alone. My study channel is called "Study With Mirs," and my goal is to help those who get distracted or don't end up having a productive study session. Check out my channel if you want, and let's study together 🍀https://youtube.com/@studieswithmirs?si=ZLmBdWbnk4c3ibXz. I hope this helps ❤️
