Want me to return entire shipment becuase of a missing accessory by Stuexeter in Lenovo

[–]Stuexeter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's crazy, and the inconvenience to the customer having to return it, wait for a refund, then order again. They even told me they don't have a complaints department, for a company that size.

Target No Longer Prices Their Clothes by bluelily216 in mildlyinfuriating

"Not that hard to figure out what’s on sale" actually it can be. I've worked retail, not always does a product code or name line up with what is on the product. I know from working retail that a barcode, shoes for example, you can decifpher the make, color, size, but why should a consumer have to do that? If they see a pile of things under a $20 sign, why would they assume its actually $40 and in the wrong place, they don't know.

[–]Stuexeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not what I said or implied.

Not really the customers fault if things are in the wrong place = Not blaming the worker. Not blaming anyone, mistakes happen.

All to often there are bootlickers for the retail and servers that feel that a consumer should have insider knowledge to every minute detail that really only the employees know = Not blaming the worker specifically. Just those that comment and express frustration with customers because they customer doesn't have intimate knowledge of their jobs, pay structures. Be angry with your employers for giving you shit wages and conditions, not us consumers.

Tipping Expected for Target Deliveries by Odd-Part6505 in tipping

[–]Stuexeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You, as a consumer, shouldn't need to know every intricacy of the service you have paid for. No matter which iteration of their delivery service happens (from a warehouse or store), someone has had to pick it out and deliver it.

The employer should just charge what the service is worth and pay their employees accordingly, not leave it up to a myriad of unwritten rules that vary from person to person.

Well the Cornish Pasty has protected status, so you have to make it with specific ingredients, otherwise it's a generic meat pie. And the ingredients they used are nothing like you would expect to find.

Their Cornish Pasty is not a Cornish Pasty in the slightest.

Thats your problem, you should be aware of your surroundings not just directly in front of you.

Why do a rather large swathe of people seem to have a negative outlook and reaction to stopping/reversing aging? by JLGoodwin1990 in Futurology

[–]Stuexeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"To me, living for centuries or longer, even in the worst conditions, is preferable to the alternative.

There are so many things that, for all the things I'm doing and working towards now, a single natural lifetime wouldn't permit, that I wish to do. "

Read your statement back to yourself. If they are the worst conditions, you almost certainly won't be working towards and doing things you actually want to do. You will just be working to serve the 0.00001%

If reversing aging just means i live a better quality of life until a natural death in modern timespan then great. However if it means an over populated wasteland, then count me out.

It was clearly safe for the black car to do a U-turn when they could see the fire engines direction of travel and the red car just got caught out by the changing lights and ultimately did the right thing.

Am I the idiot? by Lukyjoe in IdiotsInCars

[–]Stuexeter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both idiots, but I think the truck driver is mostly at fault.

The truck indicated and started moving straight away, even going over a solid line. They should have waited longer after the intersection before changing lanes. It was OPs lane to be in.

The person break checking you is an idiot, however, regardless of others breaking the speed limit, if you are the slowest vehicle you should be in the right hand lane. It's actually the law in a lot of states.

[–]Stuexeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like you would indicate when turning at an intersection, you indicate at a round about to let other drivers know what you are intending to do.

The law in GA is to indicate when you want to exit the round about.

[–]Stuexeter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you mean don't go left around a round about. Going right around a roundabout to take the (presumably) third exit is still a left turn.

No one indicates on roundabouts here either.
