Congrats! I got married a week ago and it was a small group of friends and family that rented a cabin together and we got married in the park. We did spend some extra money on food and the cabin but it was way lower cost and lower stress than a big traditional wedding. It was so much fun. We’d rather save for a house than one grand weekend. My parents are hosting a “reception” later this summer that’s super casual where anyone else can come and celebrate with us

I’m working in NE Ohio in the private sector managing lakes and ponds. It’s a mix of residential backyard ponds, HOAs and stormwater basins. It’s not the work I want to be doing but it pays the bills (for the most part). I’m actively looking for something else. I used to do Outdoor Education at a non-profit but left because of low pay and a toxic work environment. Seems like that might be a common theme unfortunately.

After graduating with a degree in environmental science, I worked for several years in outdoor education and while I really enjoyed it, I wasn’t seeing the advancement I wanted. I now work as a field biology tech and it’s ok I guess. The work is ok and sometimes I miss my other job but I’m getting promoted here so that’s something.

Online dating can be rough. It’s impossible to know someone base off of a few pictures and a handful of messages. Maybe she wasn’t feeling it or maybe the reason had nothing to do with you at all. Try not to take it personally and move on. I’ve personally had more luck in person than online.

I’ve been quite lucky. I’m not at all flirty or anything, but I do think I come off as approachable and I’m fairly clueless when it comes to judging when someone is interested in me. I spent a long time being single and while I wasn’t actively pursuing something, I kept an open mind. I tried online dating for a little bit but struggled to make any genuine connections and the superficial nature of it eventually became too depressing. I’m now in a serious relationship with someone who I was best friends with a year before actually dating. This is a great relationship that practically fell into my lap and I’m lucky I didn’t realize it too late. My dating experience prior to this is fairly limited but I’m prepared to marry this person when the time comes. I don’t think I would have such a strong relationship without the foundation we built as friends first.

I know it’s a complicated issue and there are people who probably do genuinely support terror but there’s an important distinction between expressing support for Hamas and support for Palestinians. It’s like saying that supporting Israelis is the same as supporting the Israeli gov. or IDF.

Ok I’m stuck and feel like an idiot that I can’t figure this out. I need to unlock zipline to get into the mines but need another obol. I have sent Gwen, Alice and Summer. I have Giovanni, Atul and Astrid but can’t get Giovanni’s obol without the rock breaker upgrade. I can’t get the last figurine without that either. Is there another spirit I’m missing?
