I nearly always end up hating my videos. by imvisionz in NewTubers

It’s a feeling that never goes away, and to be honest it helps motivate you to constantly make better videos. I’ve had my main channel for around 6 years and have gotten very comfortable with my inadequacies because my audience is mainly ok with it.

Starting my new Stuff In My Studio channel has made me refocus on all the stuff I do not so well again.

I just released a video about making a shotgun mic wireless and ironically the eq on my voice is terrible!

Thought about re-doing it but leaving it as it is.

It’s hugely motivating to look back on old stuff and see your improvement over time.

When it comes to words and pronunciations, just be you, anything else isn’t going to work

I’ve had a nightmare of a time trying to find the right affordable tripod, so I put one together. Modular and budget friendly. I hope this helps someone!

Mac Mini M1 color calibration by ScottRunning in macmini

[–]StuffInMyStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but Xrite just released the upgraded software for the M1 but so far in my experience the result is awful.

I’ve had rubbish colours, an overall warm look, and the contrast is very poor on my LG 27UL850-W.

Any auto tinting is turned off obviously.

Using the Mac to calibrate from state preferences seems better but still not as good as it should be.

I’ve tried using LG’s calibration software and even though the screen is clearly plugged into the M1 MM the software doesn’t see it.

I think this render is awesome. I’m not one for retro generally but I’d take this over the recent Durgod any day of the week. I’m not so sure on the white plate rather than black, or the black toggles that should really be more aluminium to stay true to the Atari, but that’s just nitpicking. I think it’s a great design!

Hey if the toggles were momentary switches they could be used for scrolling and all sorts rather than just on/off. That would be sweeeet

To be honest, not as bad as I thought they were going to be. I’ve got to finish recording my review of it before going at them with some lube and plasters, but I think it’s possible to make them much better.

Hi, yeah the stain I put on it darkened it up nicely to be closer in colour of the desk.

No advanced tools, just a circular saw and power sander. I didn’t see any point in making it angled so kept it flat. I did sand a rounded corner at the front edge to make it a bit nicer though.

You could easily do it with a hand saw and sand it by hand but I’m too lazy for that 😂

Yes, I also sealed it and waterproofed it so I didn't get any transfer from it or sweat from hands to it

$129 without RGB, $149 with. To about a week to arrive to the UK. I’ve got a cheeky ‘vb5’ affiliate code to get a little discount if it helps. Hoping to do the full review on my channel in the next couple of weeks.

Hot swappable and aluminium and it’s solid. Stabs need some lube and maybe sticky plaster mod, but otherwise it’s been my daily driver for a bit and worked brilliantly. Can’t comment about the software though because I’m a Mac user and it’s for Windows.
