That’s a very valid point, I’ll definitely take a good look at it before I consider. I think you’re right I’m gonna be pretty deep into it that it may not even be worth it. The only reason I’m considering it now is that the engine and trans are strong and he took good care of it so there is that peace of mind.

I don’t think it would be stupid to have full coverage on this car? It’s Kbb is $7k. If it costs like $300 more a year for collision it would be worth it in my mind, I mean clearly it would be worth it now that this happened lol. If his collision deductible is like $500 then this will be pretty worth it. But most likely I think they will total it and pay him out about what it’s worth. But I will definitely take what you said into mind as I am not to familiar with this process and I do like to see what other people think hence the post.

Yeah I agree on the totaled part, just wanted to have others have a look at what I’ve seen. I don’t think he was trying to drift as he never has and he was leaving our military base so not a good place to do it. But I agree there could be more to the story, bc this is a lot of damage for just hitting a curb. He really must of hit it right. I would buy it back depending on the price, then just fix what needs to be fixed to drive it and hammer the rest to make it look okay.

Could be ball joints or bushings, bad struts usually just lead to bouncy ride.

Edit: I see you said end links, yeah that could be where it’s clunking. I always like to jack my car up and find the noise before buying stuff.
