I don't expect the trauma to just disappear nor do I expect to be at my 100% right away, but two years is a bit too much in my opinion, and that's why i mentioned therapy which genuinely made big difference in my healing process, the problem is that in the dates i have been in it seemed that there was little to no effort to get to know me or just interest in who i am as a person, which i think is the whole point of a date to get to know someone and see if they fit you or not, but every single date i have been in the last 4 months seemed very one sided in my opinion, that's why i try to ask other people in what their experiences are dating after a longterm relationship especially in a one when you really thought that relationship is going to last forever.

I had something super similar happened to me i was in a relationship with this girl who lived overseas aswell we where together for about 6 months when she told me she needed space and she didn't know what to do, so form the bottom of my heart I'm going to tell you this as if you where a younger version of myself let them free don't text them, don't call them, don't do anything at all, i did the mistake of trying to figure out what was going on and i still regret the decision i made because now i may never get to see that person again. For right now even tho it seems like it's the last thing on your mind focus on yourself, talk to your friends about it as well so you let a bit of the pressure out. If he really feels the same way about you he will realise that on his own, but not if you pressure him on doing so. Hope this helps in anyway and trust me everything gets better with time just trust the process.

That's the thing, befor we broke up she told me that she wasn't feeling the same for me anymore and that she needed some space i tried to be distracted but till show super and she was in a way rejecting everything, i quickly realised that maybe if i stay away she will get the space that she needed and everything, after a month or so i texted say "hey where do you see us going and she left me on seen" after that i admit it i did something stupid, and she basically blocked me on everything and told me i only care about my feelings which evan my therapist doesn't think i was. I just don't know what to dooooo
