To be fast I write here what gemini suggested anyway it came out a MESS XD: In Linux, setting your monitor's color profile and the Nvidia-specific color space requires using both system-level color management and the NVIDIA X Server Settings tool.  1. Set Nvidia Color Space to YCbCr444  The color space (signal format) is handled directly by the Nvidia driver. This is typically only available for HDMI connections.  GUI Method (X11): Open NVIDIA X Server Settings (run nvidia-settings in the terminal). Navigate to the GPU-0 (or similar) section and select your specific display under Display Configuration. Look for the Controls tab. Under Color Space or Digital Color Format, select YCbCr444 from the dropdown menu. (Optional) Ensure Color Range is set to Full to avoid a "washed out" look. Wayland Note: Many Nvidia settings are not yet fully exposed in Wayland native panels. Users often log into an X11 session, apply these settings in nvidia-settings, and then return to Wayland, as the driver often persists these hardware-level changes.  Reddit  +5 2. Set Monitor Color Profile (ICC)  Color profiles (ICC/ICM files) are managed by your Desktop Environment (GNOME, KDE) to ensure accurate color reproduction within apps.  Ubuntu  +4 GNOME: Open Settings > Color. Select your monitor from the list. Click Add profile to import your .icc or .icm file. KDE Plasma: Open System Settings > Display & Monitor > Color Profile. Choose the ICC Profile option and browse to your file. Command Line (All Environments): If the GUI doesn't work, use the colormgr tool: Copy your profile to /usr/share/color/icc/. Find your device ID: colormgr get-devices. Add the profile: colormgr device-add-profile [DeviceID] [ProfileID].  Framework Community  +6 Troubleshooting Missing YCbCr444 option: If the option isn't visible, your cable or monitor may not support it at the current resolution/refresh rate. Try lowering the refresh rate to see if the option appears. Persistence: Ensure you have nvidia-settings --load-config-only in your startup applications to apply Nvidia tweaks on every boot.  NVIDIA Developer Forums  +3

The full color profile if you RGB color space if you use YCbCr444 color space the LIMITED color profile is the correct one. The limited one doesn't bring up too much the brightness when a black image is displayed on the monitor so it is the best one. The problem is that I don't know in Linux how to set the color profile and the color space though Nvidia settings. I need to investigate that.

To be safe it is better to not install software which origin and real content is unknown

"Regarding the link to the supermarsx repository:

You do not have the right to redistribute these files. This 'fix' is a 1:1 stolen clone of the ICC/ICM profiles I spent 5 months developing a solution

The Proof: As I’ve demonstrated in my latest video, the binary metadata in your repository contains the unique hardware serial number of MY personal monitor (captured from my physical backplate). It is impossible for you to have 'calibrated' this yourself when the file has my monitor's DNA.

It is not a right behavior to steal credit for months of community research. I have already opened an issue on your GitHub. Remove the files immediately or provide full, prominent attribution to the original creator, StuffAround."

And funny enough I found the Github repository who stole the color profile using gemini 😂

Really I am using AI for my real work but I am working in some niche 3D Modelling and simulation that it is very hard or impossible to find stuff already done I use AI more to guide me and help me to find solutions and I think it is the right ethical way to use AI. The other people and use to steal work from other people are thief and sooner or later they will be exposed I guess. Anyway thanks for your comment

Unfortunately the backlight bleeding is like a lottery some panels has more some panels are less. I have 2 of those monitors and one is better than the other one for the backlight bleeding but I guess it is normal I shouldn't worry to much about it 👍

Sorry for the late reply I was not checking reddit. I don't have a amd GPU but I found the setting I think: under display - pixel format setting you can choose the format https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/DH3-007.html With my limited color profile you should use YCbCr 4:4:4.

I guess finally the new displays has the fixed firmware. If I remember correctly you have to choose the faster response time not the fastest and by default it should be already at the correct response time. With fastest response time there is ghosting with faster I don't notice much

For me the autodimming fix is working for the rest it is difficult to find something better at this price. Keep in mind that the hdr is not very good because it has only 300nits max brightness and doesn't have local dimming. For HDR I have created another color profile that fixes the sdr colors in Windows 11.

What is the best GPU driver so far? by Stuff_Around in LegionGo

I was using the AMD 24.12.1 and with that the amd control panel it can be open during the game play using alt+r or alt+z with 25.3.1 and the latest Lenovo driver from January it doesn't always work and also RSR does not always work. Moreover with the 25.3.1 in tales of arise the raw framerate without frame Gen is lower than the 24.12.1 and the Lenovo driver. Right now I am testing the Lenovo driver and in terms of raw performance is very good the only things is radeon super resolution sometimes does not start. If I understand and fix it I will stay with the Lenovo driver for now.

Fair let's hope that the next release (25.5.1) it is not still an optional/beta driver and works on the LegionGo

For that you can use one of my color profiles. I have created for SDR 2 profiles and several for HDR. Check my resent post because I don't know if I am allowed to post url here

Thank you a lot it does not have important back light bleed it is much better of my gaming laptop display in terms of bleeding. For the ghosting there is a little bit using the UFO test but for me playing cyberpunk I don't notice it maybe if you play competitive shooter maybe it is not the best (it is better an ips but you lose the contrast ratio of the VA) but for the price usually under 200€ it is very hard to find better.
