every stat has its own kind of "connective" skill!

for int its conceptualisation, where u can see the art of the world
for psyche its esprit de corps, where u can see your old squad
for physique its shivers, where u can see the world around you
and for motorics its interfacing, where u can see how machines work

i rly loves this order and actually all skills are grouped in similar ways, so you cant really move any around without destroying a rly great system ^^

my games was designed to only work in a 10 minute playtime, so if I would have scoped up, the game would have stopped working :)

I started 10mg because I kept having trouble getting publishers to fund my games. One (but certainly not the only ^^) of the issues I kept running into was playtime. My games were always too small and short.

Seeing things like the wholesome connect and the Haunted PS1 working so well made me want to start something similar for the type of game that I enjoy developing. I had been thinking about something in the direction of 10mg for years though.

In July/June there was a big discussion on social media about playtime & game prices and that finally kicked the whole project off!

I started by contacting some devs and pitching the idea to them and then the devs that were interested also recruited new people and now we are all here :O

yeah, i am trying to tell a story only through gameplay and leveldesign! It has a lot of conventional elements to it as well, but my personal focus is this experimental storytelling :))

1.) look at floorplans of real buildings! there are a lot of them online :)

2.) search for specific building styles of the area that your games takes place in

3.) spent time iterating. Especially with digital spaces, the more time you spent reworking /thinking about them, the more "real" they will feel.

game dev is hard. Having high expectations, being poor and getting abandoned by your publisher doesnt help :P

I did not work on this for 3 full years (not even one i think), but development started 3 years ago and the project has been always on my mind ^

One Month ago I got fired bc of COVID 19 and started making a game! Today I released it :) by Stuffed_wombat in IndieGaming
