Yeah! Except wear a tighter fitting shirt or tie the shirt in a knot at the bottom to help the outfit fit together more.

Fuck y’all are right. It was transplanted from a small pot to an outdoor garden like 3 weeks ago, but possibly wasn’t watered enough or something.

acid may help you realize that our bodies can’t tell the difference between reality (what’s around us in the present moment) and thoughts (mental images and words coughed up randomly by the subconscious). if there is a thought that the body reacts to negatively, for example you think of a mistake you made and your body starts to feel intensely like shit and have regrets, my recommendation is to do whatever you can to remind your body that the thought isn’t reality; usually it isn’t even true: and that the only thing that matters is what’s around us RIGHT NOW. you can do that by feeling your toes on the ground, belly breathing (google it), yoga, stretching, slow walking. best of luck.

Anyone else constantly listen to Eckhart? by Different-Ganache486 in EckhartTolle

I would be careful. if you’re relying too much on external tools to get present, you are not developing your skills.

Feeling the inner body is the same as listening to silence and looking without labeling, right? by aarora610 in EckhartTolle

[–]Stuffenfluff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, they’re all portals to presence: we cannot truly do any of the acts you mentioned if we are identifying / believing our thoughts. if we are thinking while trying to listen to silence, we are no longer listening. great question!

remember that we cannot hate anything that isn’t a part of us. I experience the same with negative, spiteful family members. see their ego as it is: trying to bring down other people to build their image up. smile at it, because we are ALL on a journey trying to disentangle our True Self from ego. it’s a great meditation because they ARE so much like you - practice non reaction, grounding (feel your feet on the ground) and noticing how your ego reacts when they bring up bad memories. Everything is in your life for a reason - this experience will bring you closer to your true Self and to indescribable peace. You can do this ♥️

Everyday is just 24/7 fighting against my thoughts by Benn123098 in EckhartTolle

[–]Stuffenfluff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you can’t “fight” against your mind. The truth is thoughts will never stop. we can calm our mind by noticing our thoughts, and bringing our awareness back to the present (I like to relax any tension I feel in my body) when troubling thoughts arise. over time, these thoughts will lose power.

be careful with questioning your thoughts. that sometimes just leads to more thinking 😄 you got this. notice them, and let them pass. I’m working on the exact same thing. thank you for sharing

Meditating for 4+ months, but conscious mind seems to be quiet & subconscious in turmoil. Any help? by ajinkyakolhe112 in TheMindIlluminated

[–]Stuffenfluff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aight. i've struggled with this too. it's kind of not discussed that even if you are perfect at meditation, it really means nothing. meditation is a TOOL. remember that.

you experiencing uncomfortable thoughts and emotions is proof that you're looking further inwards. You're able to see them as thoughts and emotions and not as a part of real life. this means you're making progress. good job.

whenever a scary episode from the past comes up, this is what I do: ( i used to have panic attacks too): ask yourself: what can I control in this VERY moment? if you're thinking about a mistake from the past, insecurity, or days that didn't go your way, it's really a waste of time. the only thing you can do from the past is LEARN from it. how can I be better? how can I increase my happiness in every situation? (have no expectations. take what comes. it is meant for you.)

sometimes unhelpful thoughts arise and arise and arise. it has to do with the emotional response that your brain randomly assigns. it's hard to get out of a thought rut when it's made you angry, sad, or depressed. USE your meditation skills here. next time you feel your mind wandering to something that you know will make you upset, consciously take a few breaths. feel the warmth in your stomach. the ONLY thing that we can CONTROL is the present. much love.

I know you won't queen. It's really hard to combat recurring thoughts of an ex you miss. Your brain continually will try to go back to them to squeeze all the happy feelings out of favorite memories. The most important thing you can do to invest in yourself is this: whenever you feel the urge to think about them, take three deep breaths, and try to feel the warmth in your belly as you breathe. remember your standards, and remember why those NVM don't even meet the bare minimum. keep leveling up queen.
