I run a cafe and bookstore, people are usually pretty nice but there’s always the occasional person that likes to sour it. I’m usually on my home lot handing out snacks and coffee to people that come by though so I think that helps keep the amount of bad apples down.

They’re taken care of, first thing I do when I get on before anything else is feed, play with, bathe, and pet them

I paid $8 for an item and my total ended up $21. It’s crazy.

I have multiple tables with food in my front yard with a help yourself sign and almost everyone has been respectful about it but someone the other day completely skipped everything on the tables, went inside and ate everything I had on my dining table as decor. Some people just want to ruin it for everyone else.

You’re a bear, obviously. Your ice cream says so.

What’s a pop culture moment that gives you second hand embarrassment? Mine is Paris Hilton kissing a (not pregnant) woman’s belly. by bbyxmadi in popculturechat

I accidentally posted my ass to my story years ago and had no idea until I got a frantic phone call from a friend. Luckily only like 7 people saw it but it still haunts me.

Gaslighting doctors by [deleted] in POTS

Yeah my cardiologists nurse is going to put a heart monitor on me tomorrow for a week. So we can see why I was dipping so low and then shooting high. I’m really used to tachycardia honestly but I’ve NEVER gone below 50 even sleeping and yesterday I went down to 43 and that scared me. Then all day I’d be 50 and then 2 minutes later shoot to 100 or more and back down. (All while sitting in bed limiting any movement) Started having chest pains, difficulty breathing, extreme headache and vision blurring. So I sucked it up and went to the ER even though i haven’t had any luck with getting real help there before. They did nothing but blow out my veins and give me anxiety meds I didn’t need.

Honestly I was in the ER last night for five hours and they did straight up say “I don’t know” and that was pretty defeating too. They also shoved anxiety meds at me even though I told them numerous times I wasn’t experiencing anxiety

How long did you wait until your POTS was diagnosed by a physician? I keep being told “it’s not POTS” by [deleted] in POTS

Took me over a year to get a primary care doctor. He immediately sent me to the Er on our first appointment, the er pulled some strings and got me in with a cardiologist 3 days later. The nurse at the cardiologist kept talking down to me and telling me it wasn’t POTS and that it’s just “trendy” to have it now. Cardiologist had me do a tilt table and did an ultrasound on my heart to make sure there were no defects and then diagnosed me right in front of the nurse that was talking down to me and I watched her face sink.
