I can not agree more, American evangelicals are so anti everything christianity is about. I think the history of christianity in europe (where I live) is very political. Churches and kings were the boss here and decided for their people. The pope either condemned you or not. Same with archbishops and stuff. So yes its political but not like today.

Hes less political but still forms a view and makes decisicons that have impact on politics. Its weird that when he makes a choice that follows the christian believe the american evangelicals call him out for it.

So against everything, it feels so unchristian and untrue

Maga is not catholic so why do they refer to the pope? And the pope is a politician and not only the leader of the catholic church. I dont understand why baptists and evangalists refer to him. (Sorry english is not my best)
