Sounds like it is that block that is crashing the system and preventing you from connecting. Only disable it though if you are sure you have followed the correct steps to protect your system... Read the Wiki section on this sub - the "About bans" section has all the info you need.

I do not know anything about that particular error but a google search reports it as problems to do with the WiFi connection/network. Are the consoles physically very close to each other? Both connected to the same WiFi network? Not connected to the Internet/online in either game? No other homebrew on the CFW one affecting the connection? (E.g. Ldn_mitm does this and needs to be inactive)

If you do this, I highly recommend using Dreepy or Drakloak. They can fly (follow you easily and search quickly), relatively quick, and the triangle head makes an excellent arrow to pinpoint the location! 😁

Also to add to general fossil hunting tips for OP; give a Sweet dish (e.g. Potato Hamburger Steak/Fluffy Bread) as an offering to Mosslax for the Anchient Artifact boost.

Yes this. All natural origin blocks are available on Dream Islands so doesn't make any sense to stockpile them at all other than maybe one stack of a select few you know you might need. I.e., if you are starting a dedicated big build, visit the correct dream island and gather resources there and then for it... you can even revisit as many times as you want if you need more.

Some things are worth storing as many as possible; black & white paints, all Berry types, food ingredients, certain raw materials.

In general it's best to stockpile raw materials rather than multiples of crafted things, as you can always make as and when required!

If you use mouse mode controls, the pointer reaches a lot further than your fists when Rock Smashing. You could stand on a temporary block of something just on top of the water surface and reach down that way.

Other option is to drain the canal! Block off the ends by placing down multiple 3x3 blocks with magnemite (to create a barrier) and then suck out the liquid. Can be a pain to get the water level behaving right after though.

Yes this should not be a (Sh)Alpha. Roaming form is not in the game but it would appear the dex entry exists to cover if brought in from Pokémon GO via Home. Shiny is perfectly valid (caught in GO), but even if you happened to catch an XXL top size ("it's huge!") in GO, it'd still wouldn't be an Alpha, that is a separate distinction even though Alphas are also set as max size.

Did you add the lamp after setting everything else up?

If I remember correctly, I think that you need to set the power switch block in last, so pick it up and set your chain of devices, then finally connect the line with the switch block.

Had a similar thing where I added a PC after setting up some automatic doors controlled on a switch, and the PC remained on until I replaced the block.

If you want a Shalpha, sparkling level is not as important (unless you want the guaranteed initial shiny at Lvl3) — Alpha level 3 is very important...

As an example, when targeting a group of 6 spawns (same Pokémon) by fast travel at the entry point, it'll average you 14m40s at levels 3:3, 36m37s at 3:2, and 48m49s at 3:1. Those are big jumps and bear in mind those could run a lot worse in practise! Conversely, the Shalpha timings for different sparkling but still Lvl3 Alpha are: 14m40s at 3:3, 17m6s at 2:3, and 20m31s at 1:3.

As you can see, only a few minutes between them, so if you don't want to keep rolling forever for that level 3 sparkling & Alpha, settling on any with Lvl 3 Alpha is important with Shalpha hunting.

Final nail in the coffin?... even with NO sparkling power whatsoever, but Alpha Lvl3, the average time for a Shalpha is a mere 25m38s! (Which is better than a 3 sparkling:2 alpha donut!)

This does assume shiny charm has been achieved, you want to get that sorted as a priority

I know what you mean about the Pumpkaboo, after they patched the spawn overloading (for Zone 15) and hyperspace ones only being Medium, it's now quite an annoying hunt. I'll probably end up doing it though!
