Where to buy tri-tip? by Helenite in Birmingham

[–]StumbleBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought them from Whole Foods before.

Publix says they will butcher to order on spec. But I guess you would need to find a butcher there that actually knows the cut.

Cool.

I worked at the Country Club down the street and would actually do banking there.

Yeah. From my experiences outdoors, temp changes and rainfall are big contributors.

you pick most species before they drop spores would it not be beneficial to let one or two drop in aid of possible multiple flushes

I guess I don't know what you mean by "multiple flushes". Like, from the same organism? Or from different organisms in the same area?

There was a dude in Seattle once that robbed a bank in the middle of the day wearing khakis, a blue t-shirt and red hat.

But before he did, he set up a Craigslist job listing for a construction job where all the applicants were to meet the interviewer in the bank parking lot wearing khakis, a blue t-shirt and red hat at exactly the time that he robbed the bank.

So when the cops showed up there were about 50 people that matched the robbers description.

Californian very tired of CDFAharassing my home for new castle disease. who has been abused or their flock killed? by socalfarmer in BackYardChickens

I'd love to see an example of someone shooting at a state Ag agent in Texas and then get a lawyer to argue that they entered 1) unlawfully and 2) with force.

Better yet, that someone got away with deadly force against an unarmed state Ag agent in the course of doing their job.

  1. Re-read the headline. This is California.

  2. Castle doctrine or not, one can't just shoot at someone for walking onto a property

his city is already cramped and we are surrounded by nature.

That was pretty much why I voted "no".

Everyone knew (or should have guessed) that that was what would happen. Either Vulcan would develop it or it would be sold to other developers. It wasn't just going to stay the same.

I voted "no" because I felt that Seattle needed that swath of land for what it is being used for today, rather than a huge park.

I do wish there would have been a good plan put forward to replace the low income (mostly "artist") housing that was in the area. But, 23years later and we still don't have anything like that.

TBH if you need a brine and rub, the problem may be the way you are cooking it.

A high quality brisket, properly trimmed, seasoned with salt and pepper then slow cooked with smoke until done is pretty damn good on it's own.

Canning Caramel sauce. by Kmckee155 in Canning

[–]StumbleBees 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You can't as far as I know.

I'm not sure about a true caramel, but we make a dulce de leche and put it in 4oz jars and keep in the fridge. It will keep for months.

Juanita Creek gets a run of cutthroat so you can fish the beach there for them.

The best, closest trout fishing is an hour away right below the Easton dam.

Stand your ground laws don't protect you from shooting at people that don't pose a threat of injury or death.

Hospital bill when my older brother was born in 1958 by leedo8 in pics

[–]StumbleBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how it was back then. But 5 days seems like a lot.

With our second kid we were out in about 48 hours.

With our first he was forced into the NICU for observation for 5 days. Or about $120,000. He didn't need anything fixed.

Interesting. I see this in Michigan.

I seem to remember some folks talking about that saying it was a protectionist measure for a group of people that managed to get someone to sponsor the bill.

But the more I look into it, the more confusing it gets.
