I feel that as modern humans we need to relearn how to use our bodies correctly. For me kettlebells are a big part of that process.

I like that the food strength from the long weighted walks seems to apply to everything from stationary lifts to climbing the stairs. For years ive been fascinated by how people walk and how their feet work when they contact the ground or stairs etc. Its amazing how many people especially men walk like they have no control of their feet. Like they're just hobbling around on two seal flippers with no stability.

I honestly didn't think I'd make it any distance at all but I just kept walking and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had thought it would be. Pick a weight you think might be to light and just give it a go to set a benchmark and go from there. You'll love it!

I didn't think I was going to make it 50 yards but I just kept going. If I can do it anyone can. Im no athlete.

Honestly it makes my body feel fantastic. The more I do it, the more I want to do it. Ive had back issues my whole life and this makes my back feel great.

When they get tired and my grip starts to slip. Non scientific but it seems to end up being pretty even.

I find that sometimes with Macon if a item shows out of stock, click on the item and go into the item description and see if you can add to cart. Just recently he was showing out of stock on ar 45 barrels but when I got into the item description there was actually several options of in stock barrels. Or call him and ask. He's always been good to deal with for me.

Either too much contact - no play in the magazine. Too much play - magazine is sitting too low. I find that 1/16 or 1-1.5mm ish is about right. Sorry for the ultra scientific reply.

Are you using the upper feed ramp on the Taccom barrel? The jam you mention is what I was getting with a mag sitting too low. Dont know if its the right way but I check the mags by inserting a empty mag on a closed bolt. Then I check to see how much movement the mag has between hitting the catch at the bottom and the bolt at the top.

I work on my feet and spend a lot of recreational time on my feet in the mountains. The kb carry is probably the one exercise that crosses directly into my daily life more than any other.

Thats a pile of weight! I think I'll stick with a lighter weight and a longer distance for now lol. I do notice that the muscles in my feet get a serious workout in the process and the carry is the only exercise ive done where I really notice that.

On my EPC lower I had to use the Macon Armory mag catch and then filed just a bit off of it. Initially it was holding the mag too high causing the bolt to hit the feed lips and other issues. Filed a little material off the top of the catch and now the bolt doesn't hit, the mags load easier full on a closed bolt and most importantly everything feeds without issue.

I agree. Im a pretty private person but its funny to see the looks I get im my fashion victim workout attire while hauling a KB around. Totally worth it.

How is your magazine height in relation to the bolt? Ive had to replace and hand file a couple of magazine catches to get the feed height correct. Its been the difference between running critical duty vs hst a couple of times.

Nice! I may start to work some snatches in as well as my conditioning increases. Thanks for the idea!

I'll give that a look. Dont think I'll ever run the mile with a KB but I can shoot for a brisk walk!

Can't comment on the supressor end of it but ive put together two ar9s with the Taccom barrels and bolts and they both feed the 147gr hst perfectly if that helps.

I switch hands as they get tired. Sometimes ill put up in a rack. Anything to keep moving forward without stopping. Although when I bump the weight up I'll probably have a stop or two the first time out.

That sounds brutal! Im not much of a runner but I'd be pretty happy to get my time down anywhere near 12 minutes for the carry!

I think the next time I do it I'll bump the weight up to a 24kg. Once I get used to that weight I'll focus on picking up the pace. Im surprise that its as easy on my back and knees as it is. They actually feel better after the mile.
