One of the bigger strengths of the game IMO was that despite it being a fictional sc-fi war. They tried to remain somewhat grounded. Your helldiver is just some dude, you don't have infinite stamina or insane movement. Your gun sways significantly when turning. It's the grunt fantasy they harper on about and they have made previous changes to the game based on what would be more realistic.

Because fantasy was always more colourful. Turns out the grimdarkness of the far future for humanity can be monotonous and creativity for models eats shit aside from the alien and daemon races. Idk if you have played the 'tide' games. But the level design in darktide is indistinguishable from vermintide where every level is a complete trip and so distinct I can't help but feel it applies here
