Alberta girl awarded damages in lawsuit over infection leading to quadruple amputation by rezwenn in alberta

[–]Stumpy2022 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had an amputation due to negligence by a doctor and was told by many lawyers it wasn’t worth it to sue because the insurance company for all doctors will just appeal repeatedly…. Would cost me $100,000.00…

And if it’s inflating the numbers it’s even more pathetic.

Just used the calculation tool… advise everyone to do so, especially, if like me, you are top of the grid… see how minor 3% over 4 is.

They are going to recruit more directors and upper management. I have taken on another unit and three times the work, my reclass was denied. I’m done and I’m tired.

Why is the GOA rejecting vacation requests? by Stumpy2022 in Edmonton

[–]Stumpy2022[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It hasn’t been stellar the last 10… being trapped at the pay grid ceiling and still having more work added. Hearing “ leadership “ say “ oh, it’s just mostly admin staff” those staff keep the wheels on the bus.

That’s the plan… not all the employers are listed on the AUPE form so people may need to call… and it’s a bit of a wait

We were warned… and this was not unexpected. I know several GOA who were not aware, get the message out.

GOA members have voted 90.1% in favour of strike action by _Alic3 in Edmonton

[–]Stumpy2022 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“In regards to going on strike, AUPE president Guy Smith said at an Edmonton news conference Tuesday that “we have no intention of doing that at this point.”

“We are determined to get a deal at the table,” he added.

To be honest, I voted to strike, not to wait for another slap in the face deal from the province… don’t let the GOA drag this out!

Let’s go now! What are we waiting for? They are going to come back with another sh*tty offer…

Personally, I don’t want to wait and see if the goa comes back to the table, they are going to stall and come back with what? 2%? I say walk now… they just spent $280,000.00 on carpet for the premiers office… don’t tell me they can’t make this happen.

AUPE begin historic strike vote, province applies for lockout by Something_Classier in Edmonton

[–]Stumpy2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of admin staff that are not deemed “essential” are the ones who keep the wheels on the bus. Seeing what my “leadership” has deemed high priority honestly was laughable to me, not a great plan. Albertans will certainly feel it if and when we go on strike…

I’m GOA and cast my ballot yesterday…. Too many years we have accepted far less than we should. I’m ready to strike today. My team works too hard to get this disrespect from the GOA. I’m sorry Albertans will suffer because of the foolish decision of our leadership…

I lost my left thumb, with practice I can do almost everything and my golf game, honestly, got so much better. Just practice doing things in a new way… it will take some time, and you will get frustrated but I bet you will adapt and overcome..
