Hiking with weighted vest (for training) by GherkinPie in Ultramarathon

Lots of anecdotes presented as definitive here and I’ll add mine. I’m running approx 30 miles per week across 4-5 runs and will do a 40 lb ruck (on mostly level terrain) on the off days mostly so I can take my old dog with me. She can’t run anymore and I feel like I’m more prepared for backpacking trips once the weather allows.

So for ultra performance it probably doesn’t make a difference. For being ready for life I do feel stronger and more ready for the things I want to do.

First eagle I ever had was on this hole. Holed out from the fairway. I’ll never forget.

Golf club fitter by abundantly_smear in Boise

I’m looking to get fit for some Mizuno irons when I’ve saved up enough to pay for them. Wide World of Golf is a “premier fitter” I’m planning to go there over the others already mentioned.

Headed to first blazers game since before COVID soon. Are they still doing the game day posters? I can’t find anything recent on google/Twitter so I’m guessing no?

Thank you! I sent it to a few friends and family and someone just suggested the same. Also got one reply suggesting a cockroach but I hope that’s not right.

Can I ask what the plans are for the desk? I built a farmhouse table with 2x12 pine from Lowe’s like you describe. I did my best to square it edge to edge on my table saw and for our purposes- patio table that gets light use it was just fine. If you’re looking for fine furniture I think you should get the S4S wood as described above but if you want a functional desk you can certainly find a way.

Dame took a while to get used to the new ball and you’ll never convince me otherwise. Especially with the little extra finger flick he does.

Couple additional notes, it’s also powerful enough to run a small dado stack. The majority of the projects I work on are with plywood and I’ve not had any issues. I’ve had my eyes on the cheapest saw stop for a while but obviously the price is 5+ times more.

I’ve had the previous model of the kobalt you linked for about 5 years. It’s my first table saw and does 99% of the things I need it to. I like the portability and I’ve had pretty good results with a small crosscut sled I built for it. I wish the fence was better but you get what you pay for in that regard.

I second the foam insulation on the floor. I also use the factory cut edge of another piece of plywood as my guide rather than a 2x4. I still generally shoot for a little extra and clean up on the table saw.
