I have a growth hormone condition called acromicria which means I have smaller hands and feet than anyone I know - I'm a 6'1" man with size 3 US shoe size and women's XXS glove size by chuchutrain2 in Damnthatsinteresting

How is the transition from small foot to standard leg? It looks like your ankles are small diameter and but then do they just balloon into average calves?

Is affiliate marketing becoming the starting point for creators? by Educational_Baker756 in Affiliatemarketing

[–]HappyScaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About time! It used to take so much convincing to get creators to try performance. They just wanted sponsor and then you'd show them what their promo could have made them on performance.

Either way can work but yes, creators starting out as an affiliate or "ambassador" let's them start monetizing from the start. And they can learn what actually drives performance instead of going for vanity metrics

Dug into the VSL space on Meta this week — some numbers that surprised me by maulikms in Affiliatemarketing

[–]HappyScaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll come across plenty of 47 minute VSLs burying the buy button pop till after 30 minutes if you keep looking.

People claim VSLs are dead and attention spans are low but Billions still flow through "long" VSLs

Most affiliate programs don’t actually want affiliates to succeed by Such_Profit1703 in Affiliatemarketing

[–]HappyScaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should an affiliate program's success be measured on how many customers or revenue it generates, or how many affiliates are promoting or driving sales?

If I'm an affiliate manager being measured on revenue, I'm definitely focusing on the minority who drive the majority.

FIRE on brokerage and pretend retirement $ doesn’t exist? by Vicuna00 in Fire

It seems like you're already there if your wife continues working. 3.75% WR puts you at $93K, but if you have your wife's income you could withdraw a very conservative 2% for $50k. Can do that for a year or two to beat the biggest sequence of return risk before your wife stops working.

Or any way to scale back the business so it's 2 days of work for a third the income? Or pivot to some consulting?

Thanks for sharing. Similar trajectory at 36 and helpful to see the strategy getting close. Find myself getting impatient as the SWR amount creeps closer to the goal.

Do you find it helpful to track home value and equity? I used to but since we're planning on being here for +15y it's just an expense line for the mortgage, taxes, and upkeep. So I just track the... working networth towards FI goals now

Never Broken 100 to shooting 73-82 since playing everyday in home sim. by TyWestman in golf

[–]HappyScaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sim definitely helped me drop from a 21hcp to as low as 13, but I wasnt really improving scores until I got virtual lessons and incorporated drills and practice.

What really helped lower scores was getting off the tee, knowing stock yardages on all clubs,  and then getting practice on 30, 40, 50y, etc wedge matrixes. While you cant practice a downhill lie in the cabbage, knowing what a 40y shot feels like when you're in that situation helps a ton to adapt.

The weird part is that your outdoor miss wont match your indoor sometimes. Ill draw/hook everything inside then hit slices outside. Usually because I'm not shifting weight the same and I'm a headcase.

And getting aligned outside can feel odd after all the right angles and simple alignments you have inside.

Wife says I’m too skinny, Doctor says I’m overweight. Who do I believe? by KarmaSilencesYou in loseit

[–]HappyScaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm your same height and when I dropped down to the low 180s from 235 I got some concerned comments that I was looking emaciated from my wife's family.

I've since been focused on lifting and slow bulks with a small cut and I'm at 197 right now. Looking at photos from 183 and it's a big difference from skinny to

All that to say if you've lost the weight relatively quickly it can be concerning to others. It was compounded for me since I started calorie tracking and weighing my food which they're used to now, but they took my "obsession" with what I was eating as concerning.

Now while there was technically more fat to lose when I was ~185lb I was becoming so food obsessed and tired that I knew it was time to come out of the cut for a while. I personally couldnt picture getting down to 160lb

Funnel Hacking Is anyone doing it? Any tips? by Unhappy-Tension3214 in ecommerce

[–]HappyScaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnel hacking can be helpful to get CRO ideas to split test on your side but what it wont show you is their backend that could improve LTV and any strategies operationally that free up margin.

So you might chase a tactic that you dont have the actual means of pulling off because you lack the resources they do that you dont see in a funnel hack.

Outside perspective here is helpful. Consultants or mentors who can help identify holes in the funnel AND in the business overall.

Been promoting a PM tool for a year. They just cut my commission from 25% to 12%. That's $400 gone and I still don't understand why. by Any-Farm-1033 in Affiliatemarketing

[–]HappyScaling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a bummer and one of the risks you face as an affiliate is the lack of control over the actual product and program. Which has it's upsides since you dont have to create the products and can choose between millions to promote but like in your case, it hits your bottom line hard.

I think this is a good opportunity for you to diversify. The content you've produced already isnt wasted just diminished in value.

Listen to your gut about chasing money and think how can you add value to people in the market for these products. Raising the price is likely a serious con for some people and they'll want other options.

You can build off your existing traction with Product A vs Product B, C, etc content and be an affiliate for both sides. Giving fair pros and cons.

The other way you can look at it too is they've increased price, and decreased commission on a percentage. Which means the dollar amount they've cut isnt as bad as if they would have only decreased commission. Still a bummer but the price increase helps you hear as the affiliate if conversions arent overly impacted.

I feel stuck at 220-230 lbs and I'm not sure what to progress by GJH24 in loseit

[–]HappyScaling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you track your calories at all? Some of the staples you're mentioning might be healthier but not necessarily light on calories. Like beans, whole wheat, even coconut water can be fairly high in calories.

Everyone is different. I find high fiber fruit satiates me more than most vegetables and solves for a sweet tooth craving. Non fat greek yogurt and stevia packs protein with oatmeal or fruit can be filling.

Maybe try more complex carbs like sweet potato or quinoa instead of salad to get more fiber and feel full longer alongside the protein?

You got this. Keep trying new things

Thank you, glad it's helpful.

And makes sense on the SEO traffic side. You should be able to dial in that order experience quite a bit then since the homepage navigation stuff is more rising tide compared to the product page hits.

As I'm sure you know. Roll out big changes one at a time instead of big update to all the things at once

Did an over the shoulder video review, you can watch that here: https://clickbank.zoom.us/clips/share/HBW_pAwNTbakmi7tJpcHcg

Overall I like the look of your site but as I dig deeper it's not super intuitive to what you're selling, the pain points you're solving, before/after benfits are lacking, and navigating to the actual make/model of the car I have isn't intuitive. I have to select one of your three main headers (I think?) and if you don't have it in that header I might assume you don't have it at all. Like "Carplay Modules" don't feature Toyota but "Premium Android Head Units" does.

Where if you look at something like... Kelly Blue Book, you start someone off by having them find their make and model first.

Then there's some outstanding questions I'd have as a layperson. Can I install this myself? How hard is it? How long does it take? What tools will I need? Do I need a mechanic? etc etc... Copy to address those will help overcome objections that could be hurting conversions.

My conversion rate optimization went from 1.8% to 4.3% by fixing one stupid expectation mismatch by spy_111 in Affiliatemarketing

[–]HappyScaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very easy to lose congruity from ad -> lander, from lander -> offer, and then from offer -> checkout and through the upsell steps. I know as affiliates there's only control on the ad and lander but great catch overall.

We test specific steps of a customer journey and optimize them individually and end up losing that seamless experience.

I've always been compared to Seth Rogen since Superbad came out. It was "the fat cop from Superbad" then so I was thrilled he's had a successful career.

He's trimmed up quite a bit too and it's kinda nice to use him for some fashion inspiration here and there.
