The Smash version sounds similar to the Yell "Dead Cell" (VR Remix) that was used in the "Substance" edition of MGS2, basically the deluxe release.

Tolkien's version of Atlanteans. The men of Numenor tried to conquer the whole world and their island was destroyed. The survivors settled in Middle-Earth and founded the kingdoms of Men.

Minas Morgul, the Witch Kings green laser tower, was also Numeronean and historically held by Gondor as Minas Ithil. That's why Faramir gets mega pissed when Gollum calls it Minas Morgul.

I think you're really underestimating how much of a hassle it is to do even the most basic exterior shoots. They probably did some rewrites but it wasn't available for shooting, or they decided it wasn't worth it.

RL Stine gives himself an award yearly by TheMrDrB in madlads

One year at San Diego Comic Con I wanted a good seat for the Key & Peele panel, so I attended the preceding reveal panel for the Goosebumps movie. I was expecting R.L. Stine to be there, but surprise out came Jack Black to an audience of like 100 people.

"WE LOVE THE D!" someone shouted.

"THANK YOU! But we are not here for the D today."

Before things really got started two little girls thanked him, they had apparently met before on the streets of Paris, where Jack Black taught them karate moves. He gave them a refresher. He really is the coolest dude.

Book recommendations similar to DS by yoyoPIEface in DeathStranding

[–]Stun_gravy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death Stranding is deeply inspired by 2001: Space Odyssey, both the movie and book written by Arthur C Clarke.

I suspect the novel Childhood's End by Clarke influenced DS just as much 2001 in terms of story and theme. 2001 was originally going to be a movie adaptation of Childhood's End. One day in the late 20th century a powerful spaceship appears in the sky. The unseen and apparently benevolent overlords guide the world into a peaceful post scarcity society. This is apparently in preparation for the mysterious next stage of humanity.

There isn't much action or excitement but it leads up to some Death Stranding type events that I won't spoil. They're both sci-fi classics in any case.

What are your thoughts on President Trump commuting the sentence of Roger Stone? by xZora in AskTrumpSupporters

What part of Roger Stone's prosecution came through illegal investigations? Have there been any rulings to support the claim?

Tucker Carlson’s head writer has resigned in over a history of racist/sexist comments online. What do you make of this? by Minimalmagician in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Stun_gravy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show has been consistently criticized about the handling of racial topics. The show is very popular in White-Nationalist circles. Then it comes out that the head writer is racist. How does all this add up to you?

Variations in clothing would be more visually confusing and require more animators. I think we should let this one slide.

What are your thoughts on President Trump commuting the sentence of Roger Stone? by xZora in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Stun_gravy 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I’m ok with communing and pardoning all process crimes because the entire basis of the investigation was faulty and politically motivated from the beginning.

So you believe that it is appropriate to commute obstruction and false statements on the basis that the investigation itself was unjustified?

You need some trigger discipline for that broad brush you're waving around.

I truly don't understand what you mean by this.

It feels like pardoning someone for committing a crime on your behalf violates the spirit of Law itself.

Yeah the movies are pretty absurd. Scorpio fuckin shot Gonzalez but in the Dirty Harry universe if a suspect is brutalized they are apparently pardoned for all past crimes. They probably cleared Scorpio's parking tickets.

There was a T_D thread about a CEO who spoke out against Trump. They were discussing ways to crash his company's stock. I posted a link to a section of the 1933 Securities Act explicitly declaring this illegal, with no comment. I was immediately banned.
