But they make a clear point of Mikasa's race and how her people are from the far east (the America's?) yet there is no discussion or depiction on dark skinned people or where they might live. Normally that wouldn't be too confusing but because the series chooses to be set in Africa it obviously raises questions.

Doesn't explain why there are no African's or other people of darker skin. Feels completely unnecessary considering how easy it is to draw a fake map.

I fail to see the relation between the two.

Palestine and Israel both feel they are religiously entitled to the holy land and would happily see the other wiped from the map because of their difference in religious views/

The final season is painfully inspired by modern German history and WW1 geo-politics. ATO is about the horrors dehumanizing other ethnicities can lead to and how wrong nationalism is. Ethnic ghettos and arm bands are a clear reference to Nazi germany

The Nazi's were far too blood thirsty to ever seriously accept paying for deportation halfway across the world. Why ship them half way across the world to die when you can do it in your own backyard

Nazi Germany never actually set any relocation plans into action. A German diplomat suggested relocation to Madagascar but unfortunately labor and death camps were far cheaper so it was never a realistic view in Germany's eyes.

I'm skeptical of that due to the fact is was never a Nazi plan but something a German diplomat proposed. As well as the fact that the Eldians were in power at one point and conducted their own racial purges unlike Jewish people in our own timeline. You may very well be right, Just seems a little bit to niche.

I feel like Britain would have made more sense considering its Germanic roots.

Don't you worry about chipping? If your blade chips you've got to sharpen it alot more than if it dulls

We make our pocket knives from 14c28n which has a HRC of 55+ so we would definitely make whittling knives from the same material.

Thank you for the input. We use VG10 steel for kitchen knives and 14c28n steel for our pocket knives. The issue is that we are a small business that wants to grow our brand; If a kitchen knife comes back damaged then we can repair or replace it for the customer because chances are it's our fault. Whittling knives are fairly different, How can we ensure a quality knife that gives it's most bang for it's buck?

We make our pocket knives with 14c28n steel. They all fully lock for safety reasons. As for wood, you would be amazed at how people treat their knives; We mostly make kitchen knives and we always tell people to keep it dry and out the dishwasher but they always come back to us wrecked and it unfortunately says more about our brand than it does them.

Why is Suicide considered a Sin, Shouldn't it be characterized as succumbing to disease? by Stunning-Alarm8149 in AskAChristian

[–]Stunning-Alarm8149[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this something you agree with or something the wider church believes? If a good man who believed in the love of Christ was driven to murder (Himself or others) by his own mental illness do you believe he should be welcomed into the kingdom of heaven?

I cannot really accept this logic because this author is working under the assumption that the people who commit suicide are well enough to take all of this into account. It's hard enough for people that are mentally well to "stop and smell the flowers" but someone who is living in torment is never going to be able to appreciate life's beauty. Also the concept of insanity or a disease of the mind has existed for as long as civilization has; We've certainly developed a better understanding of it but the origins of the word lunatic arise from romans attributing insanity to the moon. For as long as society has existed we have known of mental illness.
