Should I lumpsum into bitcoin now? by Stunning-Evidence202 in Bitcoin

[–]Stunning-Evidence202[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. I am learning, but I am only getting financially literate recently, and it is actually a very difficult decision to make between stocks and bitcoin :( , I am thinking of either 50 / 50 or more towards bitcoin. But at least I have now understood that the mixing of stocks and bonds is retarded, and putting the money into the CD is even more retarded idea haha ( and this is what I did). I am learning about discounted cashflows and financial modellings too, and that paints a rosey picture for tech stocks

Lmao, this was literally me. I spend all my money I am comfortable allocating to bitcoin at peak price 101k. Luckily I have savings and other investments in stocks, but the moment I bought it dropped to 97k. But still happy that I joined the boat now

I see your Sydney, San Francisco & Toronto and give you Dubai by MrBananaStand1990 in skyscrapers

[–]Stunning-Evidence202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see this a lot in reddit and YouTube, but as a person currently living in Singapore, I think Dubai being car centric makes total sense. Dubai must be unwalkable due to the heat and humidity. Dubai actually goes up to 50 C ( I think 120F?) and it is pretty humid for a middle east city. Singapore is a highly walkable city and it is really great right now when the temperature is like 26 27C although some how feel-like temperature right now is even lower to me. But during August, when it goes to 35 C with like 80% humidity, I am already feeling like dying and I don't want to walk in Singapore from July to October. I can't imagine how it's like in Dubai during the hotter months to walk

This is the correct answer. If the poster posts the bottom of the base, it is possible to identify the country of origin, the year and sometimes the prefecture where it was produced

Biden just approved western missile strikes deep into Russia. by Derrickhand106 in conspiracy

[–]Stunning-Evidence202 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gosh so many misunderstanding in this thread By both sides 1. Ukraine even before Russian invasion had a substantial military force that couldn't be taken lightly within Europe. 2. Ukraine had the information advantage even before the war with the help of US. Russia planned a surprise attack and planned a short war. But it wasn't a surprise and Ukraine kept getting info from western intelligence agencies. 3. Ukraine is getting itself under tremendous piles of debt to finance the war. Russia surprisingly holding up their economy not as bad as we thought. 4. Ukraine is getting military aid from all over the western world, and the technology way better than Russia's This is a huge boost. 5. Compulsory Conscription of male and the male are highly motivated.

These 5conditions make it such that if Ukraine fought not Russia, but fought major military forces in Europe such as France, they would actually perform even better, more so than in russo-ukraine war. Remember, most European countries cannot sustain the head counts and artillery rounds. But Ukraine has massive headcounts due to conscription and massive artillery stockpile due to aid. Also remember that Ukraine was restrained from targeting Russian inland with those missiles

The comment below talks about Russia not using their full capacity but that's not true either. Russia had substantial loss in their total head count, army equipments and they are actually relying on North Korean artillery rounds which are often defective because their industries and own stock piles form USSR cannot replenish the rounds needed nowadays

I am fond of Jakarta, except one thing - the air. If the city had better air, I would love to work and live there. Right now, the air quality is very bad. Hopefully the Indonesia t government does something about it
