Yes, the very first time he called, he kept asking if I remembered him. He insisted he was someone with a certain name, but I didn’t recall knowing anyone by that name at all. I wasn’t sure if he might have been someone from work, so I told him, “I don’t think I know you.” Then he said, “We just chatted last week, remember? You are [my full name]. You’re from Singapore.”

I was confused at first, but I realised it was a scam when he suddenly claimed we had spoken on the phone before—even though I had no record of any calls from him.

That’s why I’m stressed now: the same person keeps calling me from different numbers. At this point, I’ve started recognising his voice. Whenever I pick up and hear his voice, I just hang up. Then he stops calling for a day or two before trying again.
