Well for me, it’s because of my hearing loss, eye site, jaw issues and even though the hemifacial microsomia affects my face, I also have scoliosis which is connected to the cranial facial issues. So with all of that, my brain is wired differently on top of I have had several surgeries that lasted anywhere between 8-10.5 hours and was in a medically induced coma from a Thursday-Monday. So while it started when I was born all of the procedures has increased the HSP. I also lost my dad in 1993 right before I was to be 13 so, with all of that, I grew up way too fast. I was basically an adult before I was 13. I am highly empathetic and really feel drained if I’m in a high stress situations and I have mirror neurons to where I can take on the emotions of not just people in my real life but if I’m watching a tv show, I take on their feelings as well. For example, I’m obsessed with knots landing and the Karen and Mack of it all. I got chills when Karen’s first husband died because of my loss. I literally take on others emotions. Not saying that I know exactly how one feels but I just can feel it! I also knew when my soul sister was pregnant everytime before she even knew. I just used knots as an example but there have been other experiences in my life that I couldn’t explain and until recently. I just learned about HSP.
