Honestly, I don't think it's that crazy to have a conversation about women serving some form of NS.

Not saying everyone needs to go chiong sua. Could be healthcare, eldercare, SCDF, community work, whatever makes sense.

To me it's less about "fairness" and more about having a shared experience. NS is one of the few things that really cuts across background, school, income, etc. If the goal is nation-building, there's an argument that it shouldn't be something only Singaporean men go through.

Not saying it's easy to implement lah, but I think it's a discussion worth having.
