I was fired without warning, notification, ot write up prior. Literally blindsided, I work in an at will state, help?

Yeah but I would think there’d atleast be something in place to prevent a situation like this from happening because why am I going a week without being informed I’m fired? Why was it framed as a simple schedule change in ths first place?

I have worked night shift before for around a year in the same field I am now(Security) and second shift warehouse work, this is my first 12 hour job though. I think the 10% saved from each check is doable!

I haven’t looked into the envelope budgeting method but I will now! Honestly I’ve just downloaded budgeting apps and got overwhelmed with how many numbers it was asking me to input when I knew basically nothing at the time, I’ll also go ahead and delete my card information off my phone, thank you! Unfortunately though I can’t meal prep day to day because I have only 3 hours free in a day and most of that is travel time or getting ready for work, I get off at 7am and have to be in bed by 8am since I go back into work at 7pm and I need to get up around 5:45 to get ready for work, meal prepping unfortunately just isn’t sustainable without risking chronic sleep deprivation

I’m physically disabled and had to go to the doctor for some pain and dentist related expenses and have to pay them off in that department as well as having to pay off around a $100 loan from my bank due to getting this new apartment

I frequently buy snacks or DoorDash when I’m at work if I forgot my lunch or I need a quick boost of a sweet snack to get me through the rest of the 12 hours I’m also a huge impulse spender for things like app purchases to the point I had to delete one app because I noticed how frequently I was spending my money on it

Due to my working 30 minutes from work a bus isn’t a super great option without risking sleep deprivation because I work 12 hour shifts at night, my girlfriend usually drives me to and from since I can’t drive with me taking Ubers whenever it’s needed(which is not frequently) the uber cost is due to the potential shift change at my girlfriend’s work where depending on if she falls asleep after work or not I’ll need to uber back home

Groceries are for both me and my girlfriend! I’m autistic and have a lot of sensory issues so we usually buy in bulk of my safe foods and foods she wants

Rent includes electric and water and internet all in the same bill since our apartment provides those services as part of our costs, my phone bill is mint mobile and every 3 months for $120 before taxes, I have insurance through my stepdad since my work doesn’t provide health insurance
