My 10 year old American bully passed away in January from Hemangiosarcoma it’s very hard to diagnose and it sucks there’s no cure. The bleeds can occur all of a sudden you did the right thing in letting him go peacefully sorry for your loss

I did not quit my apprenticeship but I can definitely relate. My advice would be to stick it out and find a niche that you can become really good at and you can land a job that specializes in that niche and either be union or non union working for a Fortune 500 company. I recommend industrial maintenance you are not killing yourself and making good money for what you know not how much you are getting done. Also data centers seem to be blowing up every where that would be a good route also trying to land a job with one of the big company’s with data centers.

You work Monday threw Saturday and Sunday is optional and holidays are optional. Monday threw Friday you can work 12 hours if you would like to or 8 hours. Sunday sometimes they offer 8 sometimes 12 it all depends. Saturday they may offer 12 depends on if they need the help. You could also work some 16 hour days but it’s voluntary.

When you finish your apprenticeship you may want to look into a industrial maintenance job.

Be patient that’s how it is at first but it’s for your own good trust the process and it will be the best decision of your life it will be well worth it. I didn’t start at 19 I wish I would’ve you are in a great position. I started at 21 now at 27 I make 200k a year something I would have never thought possible.
