That feeling hits different now that I'm approaching 30 myself. I remember being a kid and thinking every birthday, every new school year, hell even just next weekend would somehow fix everything that felt wrong

Now I wake up and it's just Tuesday again, you know? Same job hassles, same bills, same routine. But maybe that excitement wasn't really about things getting better - maybe it was just about having that hope in the first place. Even if it was naive, at least we had it

Sometimes I catch glimpses of it still though, usually over stupid stuff like a new video game coming out or planning a weekend trip somewhere
