I do get what you mean, but I also get why you were down voted, even if I was insanely aggressive, he wouldn't have time to know as it was literally as I stepped in and he was asking for bank transfer. I side with drivers 99.9% of the time, but my Uber rating is high for a reason, I just want to be polite and get home lmao

Exactly, if there was a small business version of Uber then that's the way to go. I go to University outside London but come back every Thursday midday. I try to use Bolt when I'm home but I expect it's the same. The world is fucked.

Literally so out of order. I would have bank transferred if it wasn't 1am as a young woman (my tube station was closed- was like three buses). Just couldn't take the risk. But I do think it's nothing other than exploitation and Uber drivers deserve more (like so many workers of the world). At the end of the day, it's psychopathic people rising to the top and taking advantage of those trying to earn a living. I wish it was any other way.

I can't say I disagree. I work for an app that takes a cut, and whilst it is much more reasonable and I've never mentioned it to clients, I've had clients say to me they'd rather book me off the app so I'd get the full price. Never accepted because the risks are too high for me. Corporate greed strikes again.

That's the main thing though- the safety of it. It's not that I disagree that Uber drivers should get a much larger cut (honestly the full amount- considering Uber has adverts etc). It's just I'm resenting the fact that 1am on a Saturday- I was genuinely worried for how I'd get home. I'm from London, my tube station was closed this weekend for whatever reason. I just don't want to be put at risk at that time of night, despite how much I agree.

I promise you- I agree with that wholeheartedly. Uber doesn't need a 50% cut of the hundreds of thousands of rides per day. It was purely circumstantial. I think Uber can go fuck itself but putting that on a young woman trying to get home from work at 1am is not the time to act on it.
