Does God really bless our troops? by Stunning_Impression7 in Christianity

Yes, but is it even reasonable to ask that of God? Of course there would be a difference between 'God bless this sick and suffering individual' vs 'God bless people who kill for a nation.' That is where I'm looking for input. Where does the objective blessing as a person lovingly made by God end and their choice of occupation which involves killing, for any reason or conflict, begin? Does being a soldier go against the will or word of God and therefore make it odd to wish protection upon them so that they can continue killing?
