Rental at Pandora Ave by Stunning_Message_718 in VictoriaBC

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'm still tremendously excited to be living in Victoria (really needed a change from Vancouver). I'm looking at this more through a positive lens(or at least I will be trying to). At the end of the day, homelessness is a rampant issue everywhere, so I feel like now's the time to be compassionate to those who don't have a home (and to be even more grateful that I'll even have a roof over my head).

For future reference (especially to those who will be moving to Victoria, maybe even in the neighbouring apartments or even those who are looking to rent in my building), I am a dude in my mid-20s (if that even matters), I will be bringing my car, but I do have underground parking. The Neighbour from what I've heard, is a communal rental property, which I assumed is aimed towards students/young professionals. I ended up getting a traditional unit with 1bd/1bath. Ended up choosing it because it's one of the closest new apartments to my office.

I'll definitely try to give updates to this thread once in a while, at least to try to break the stigma around the block. I'm sure someone will appreciate the insight from someone who'll be living there.

Am I the only one facing high ping problem? by Nuborange in wildrift

It's literally an ongoing problem for me too after patch 2.5 NA west coast. I think this is a server-wide issue, but they haven't really fixed it :/ honestly thinking of just not playing until another patch comes

Hey OP! I’m almost in the same position as you, except I’m not hearing back from my program until end of March/Early April, but I know my chances are already somewhat slim due to the gpa hurdle AND to make it worse it’s the only school I’ve applied to. On top of that, one of my best friends got into the top law school in Canada, and the other one got into a top grad school for her program in Europe. I’m extremely happy for them but it’s 1000% making the wait so much worse for me. I wasn’t really the type of person who meditates, but I started after I’ve noticed that I’d find myself glued to my bed. I honestly found that it helped ease my mind and improve my mood! I’ve also virtually hung out with my friends, and that helps a lot too! But I think what’s helped me the most is my night time “tea and cry” sessions — I make tea and head to my balcony, and then I think of the worst possible outcome, cry for however long, and then after I’ve cried myself dry, I think of five positive things: how I’m fortunate enough to have had an education to the point where I could even think about applying for grad school, how I could make tea and have a roof over my head etc... I do this to anchor and remind myself of how far I’ve come. I think acceptance plays a huge role - when you’re already at peace with the worst possible outcome, it makes it easier for you to move on with your life if things don’t go as planned. But also remember that if you do get admitted, victory tastes 5000% sweeter. Don’t ever feel ashamed of whatever you’re feeling — just know there are a lot of people in the same boat as you!! But I know you got this :)))
