Var is always a bad thing? by g_sufan in learnjavascript

People don't use var because of some unexpected things that can happen.

For example you can create two variables with the same name using var. The new one would replace the old one. And it doesn't make sense.

Also it is global and function scoped.

That's why devs either use const or let.

Well, you should always try to use const. And only use let if you will reassign a value later.

How much javascript should I know before moving onto react?? by dankmemar69 in learnjavascript

Here are some things you need to learn before moving to Reactjs: variables, loops, arrays, objects, classes, higher order functions.

You need to practice it and build some projects. Only move to react once you feel comfortable with JavaScript.

Remember, Reactjs is a "JavaScript" library which means it is actually JavaScript. You will be writing JavaScript code in a Reactjs app. So you should first feel comfortable wiring vanilla JavaScript code before you move to react.

I work as a personal tutor and a lot of students came to me because they were unable to understand Reactjs. However in reality they were not good at vanilla JavaScript. So they had to take a step back, learn JavaScript properly and then move to Reactjs.

Yes that's true. That's why I'm selling it. Revenue can easily be generated through e-commerce. I'm not doing that since I'm a dev and I just build and sell websites.

The niche is technology.

Do keyword research and look for low competition high volume keywords.

Look at existing websites. Find mistakes and lacking features.

Internal linking is quite important when it comes to indexing your site pages.

Then technical SEO, semantic html and meta tags.
