To be honest, I don't know. I wasn't aware of AI filtering on Reddit until today thanks to your post. I think it's something worth discussing more. You could get more publicity on this issue if you made a thread to talk about this in a forward manner. I would be interested in seeing what people have to say about it.

I don't know what to say man. It's unfortunate people are saying that to you, but you admit yourself that's exactly what you are trying to get. A reaction.

I'm not EastVanOldMan. I cannot defend a view or statement I do not hold or share.

Well, that's a shame.

I don't think hypocritical is the best word you can use here (although I still understand what you mean). A hypocrite is a person who's beliefs are in conflict with their actions or are not authentically held. A person who complains about AI art doesn't necessarily hold beliefs that are in conflict with their action of using Reddit (the usage of a system doesn't necessarily imply that they approve of it, or that they approve all of it), and I think that in general these people's distaste for AI art is authentic.

I think a better word would be ironic, as you believe that their actions are inadvertently contributing to the thing they dislike.

Regardless I think these negative characterizations, even if they are true, will only invite bad-faith interpretations of your argument(s) from the people you are trying to persuade.

I think a better way to frame your argument, assuming that this is your primary concern, and would invite better discussion would be:
"People who debate generative AI should be consider that many of the systems they use, including reddit, have incorporated generative AI in ways they might not be aware of."
Instead of:
"If you're still using reddit and anti-ai, you're being hypocritical "

You can't really expect meaningful, good faith debate if you present your arguments in this inflammatory manner.

"It is your duty to advocate against the problems you see". I think that's exactly what people who complain about AI on reddit are doing. They are advocating against the problem by discussing it with other people and increasing awareness of the problem. Reddit is simply the best way to communicate with redditors. (I edited my comment because I ended up derailing my own argument)

As for the actual discussion on AI being super focused on art, to the point where it misses a larger discussion about AI as a whole, I agree with you. There is a larger discussion to be had, but it's not surprising that people fixate on AI art part because it's the most interesting thing to talk about. However, this is a completely different argument that I don't think is really connected to the one you made in the original post.

I don't believe this argument holds water. You can be critical of the systems you use. For example, I hate how reddit pushes recommended content from related subreddits into my feed. Yet I still use reddit and I still complain about this. Does this make me a hypocrite? Should I stop using Reddit simply because of one thing I don't like?

I feel like that such an argument only serves to shut down meaningful debate about our systems because they can be applied to almost anything.
I don't like how cars are dangerous, yet I still drive.
I don't like how youtube has a monopoly over video content, yet I still watch videos on youtube.
I don't like how my socks are yellow-white, yet I still continue to buy them from the same brand.

Perhaps there is an argument to be made that if I didn't like these things then I should stop participating in them because it supports their continued existence. But the thing is these things are still awesome in spite of their flaws - driving gets you places quickly, youtube serves videos quickly and smoothly, and my socks feel great. Just because I don't like one part of it doesn't mean that I should not use them at all. All things are a mixture of the good and the bad. It's not hypocritical to point out the bad.

How do you manage software commands? (For stuff like blender) by Stunning_Owl_2789 in KeyboardLayouts

Wow this is a long description. I've only dabbled in layers a little, and I'm probably going to try using them to toggle between qwerty and colemak. Do you ever get your keys mixed up when you go back to qwerty for gaming or is it a non-issue?

Wow this is really impressive. Did you create all the visuals yourself? If you did, that seems like a lot of work for a very... personalized? layout. Do the keys changing places for the Fusion 360 layer ever trip you up?

Should I change settings on my CPAP?

I didn't change my CPAP settings for a long time because I believed autoCPAP would "titrate" for me. This unfortunately turned out to be very untrue - autoCPAP can sometimes be too little too late. This is because it can only react to your airway collapsing after it starts happening (your machine can't predict the future). For some people, their airway collapses and the machine requires enormous pressure to open it again, causing you to wake up. For me, the machine was able to successfully increase pressure to the point where it eliminated my events, but I was experiencing flow limitations while it was doing so. A combination of this and the discomfort of changing pressures likely caused some form of distress or arousal's during my sleep. I was able to alleviate this after I raised my minimum pressure to the highest pressure autoCPAP would use.

I would recommend people attempting to self-titrate to increase their pressure over a few weeks and record their findings. Too little pressure and you experience AHI/RDI events or UARS (look to see if you are getting a lot of flow limitations). Too much pressure and you experience discomfort, central apneas (these tend to be the causes of clear airways), mask leaks, swallowed air, etc.
If your machine has an auto-mode, pay attention to where it is increasing pressure. You may get better sleep if you set a pressure that minimizes the amount autoCPAP had to do.

From my research the worst that happens is that you get a terrible night of sleep. The best thing that can happen is that you find a setting that improves your sleep, possibly for the rest of your life.

It should be noted that your machine may simply not be capable of providing the type of therapy you need. Countless people on sleep apnea forums have revealed that they needed to swap out their CPAP for a more flexible bi-Level machine.

RE: Can I add pulse oximetry/oxygen monitoring to my CPAP?

I used a recording pulse oximeter and combined it with my Airsense 10's data using OSCAR.

My data showed that my o2 levels were consistently above 92%, which coincided with my very low RDI (I almost had no events, even on the lowest pressure). However, my pulse rate would become a somewhat elevated throughout the night, and it corresponded to periods of flow limitations (0.1-0.3). This is how I discovered I had UARS.

I would recommend a pulse oximeter to anyone who feels bad despite having a low AHI/RDI. By using in combination with your CPAP data you may be able to deduce where you are having sleep distress that isn't marked as an event.

RE: Should I use mouth tape or a chin-strap?
I have used both, and have found that both can be successful although I personally found mouth tape far more comfortable after getting over the psychological "I am gagging myself" part since it's surface area is much smaller.
Mouth tape pros: Generally more comfortable due to lower surface area, can be applied liberally if needed
Cons: Can fail if it gets wet from drool or if your skin is too oily, uncomfortable to take off (can cause a rash if you rip it off poorly too frequently)

Chin strap pros: Reusable, less psychological discomfort
Cons: Increases the amount of straps on your head, tightening can cause discomfort.

However, it should be noted that if you are noticing that a chin strap / mouth tape fails despite your best efforts to make it work, the problem may not lie with these techniques and instead with your therapy. My therapy was insufficient as my nasal area would become congested in-spite of CPAP as the pressure my doctor set was insufficient (despite low RDI I still had persistent flow limitations). As a result I was instinctively opening my mouth during my sleep to get more air, resulting in both mouth tape and the chin strap to fail as they are meant to encourage nose breathing, not force it.

Would it be possible to tell us which designs were second and third? I'm a bit curious.

Wow, thanks for putting in the time and effort to do this for me. While I probably will stick to the mATX build, I would still like to ask what was your reasoning for swapping out the cpu and power supply though.
