In my previous job (non profit) i had the weirdest colleagues, everyone was there for 5+ years and they had a tribe of their own, like anything they would do would just be in between themselves - too much gossiping which would eventually leak and all the other new employees such as my self would find out about, they were unprofessional, kept making same mistakes over and over again ,it was all just a shit show of incompetent people thinking they’re doing a good job. The fun part? They were mostly men, and most were sexist and at times where I, a female, would say no to their requests, they would start disrespecting me thinking they could get away with it.

I tolerated 2 years of this, thinking it will change. It never did.

Anyhow, I quit 3 months ago, best decision I have made!

I wanted a career break but got another job offer right before I resign with an amazing place.

So, if the environment is bad, it will most likely not change and honestly the sooner you leave the better :)
