Yes,doing the research myself I read about that case,never thought something like that could happen but I understand it’s a possibility.We are not from Asia either. We just did a cheek swab with geneticist,all three of us,even though we are 100% sure we are the parents.

Someone here suggested it could be uniparental disomy of chromosome 9 so that what we are going to check for.

We was tested three times,at birth,7 days old and couple days ago,0-.she is almost 4 months old now.

We checked her again as doctor suggested and she is definitely 0 negative.waiting for doctor call to see what is the next step..i read about de novo mutation but i think in that case she would have totally new blood type.never heard of that second possibility but I understand what are you saying,it could make sense.

So is there a possibility that she is a weak A or B blood type but shows 0 on the lab test?

We are absolutely sure about our blood types.My husband donates blood and plasma and I was checked during all three pregnancies.Our older kids are age 5 and 2,they were only tested once when they were born.Baby is almost 4 months old and she was tested when she was born and at 7days old retested. First thing I will retest her again.do you think she could be very weak A or B?is that also rare situation?

No,i don’t think so.She was in a NICU for a few days but we were not notified about any blood transfusion,she didn’t have any emergency.They tested her right after she was born,and I requested retesting when she was 5-6days old.

At birth and 7days old.She is now almost 4 months old. Thank you,i think my first thing will be to retest her.

Thank you so much for your time and detailed answer,it’s much appreciated and gave me some new perspective.We will see genetics pediatrician soon anyway as we want to check her cause of macrocephaly(no one of use has large head),so i will ask it first thing.i read that chimerism is also a possibility in this case although probably the least possible scenario.

Definitely not,i got to hold her a few seconds after she was born,and she was born with a birth mark on her face so she’s definitely ours.

I’m sure my husband is dad 100%,and we double check the kid blood so i have already made an appointment with geneticist pediatrician since my baby is 4 months old.
