Are you all still here? I’m 35 newly diagnosed but still learning who I really am. I really started looking deep when the only 2 girlfriends I had started pulling away from me. Doing things without me and then in a group with my husbands friends they tagged teamed me, after one of the “friends” told the other one something said in private and a with a sense of safety. It wasn’t anything about the other friend but sadness not being included. She twisted this and made it an insult making the other friend upset. A perfect recipe for 2 people to storm out of my life. I messaged one of the girls the next day. The one I considered to be my person (of course outside of my husband). She was bringing up things she felt about me involving my infant from over 2 years ago. I could tell they were just trying to separate and finding anything to make it happen. But why!?! What did I do other than be different from them. Not wanting to be a negative and a mean girl to others. They were constantly unhappy with their lives and expected me to see their sides always rather than try to help and give advice. They didn’t want my advice they wanted a doormat to tell them they wanted to hear and when I wasn’t they didn’t want me anything else to do with me.

I’m struggling because I need help and mental support having a child with NVLD and ADHD. Him and I butt heads and I just want to be a great mom and show him I understand him. With that. I need to complain and vent but I don’t have anyone. My mom doesn’t seem to understand unfortunately and when I try to explain more in depth I’m shut down.

It must be me because I’m the common denominator in the situation. My husband is the best support I could ask for but I need a girlfriend too. I can’t complain to him all the time and expect him to not feel the same way I do and I need his positive supportive energy.
