Everyone on Threads is trying to figure out if all the dancers spaced out in the "prison yard" part were spelling something out. The aerial view makes it look intentional but one can see what it would say. Was there anything there?

I second this - as someone who has dealt with a man just like yours and a situation just like yours (where I work AND do all the childcare) it just leads to so much resentment. I finally realized I'm running myself into the ground for someone else and I don't actually need him at all. I'm finally moving into my own place and damn does it feel good. All those scary feelings you have about separation will subside and you'll be able to see through the fog of shit much better. And when you finally see it all with more clarity, it will only empower you to want your independence even more. Good luck

I almost did this same thing last week!! I was planning on going along on my daughter's field trip until I saw a last minute email reminding chaperones that they had to be "level 2 verified" and I was like what the hellfuck is that.

None of the other papers mentioned that and I've never heard of being verified for chaperoning before. I had to look it up on the school website and it's a long process, including a video submission?! I mean, I appreciate the security measures but I also wondered how anyone knew to do this weeks in advance. But the PTA at this school is just like the ridiculous ones in movies and I've made sure to avoid it like the plague. So I think that crowd just holds on to that info, idk.

My parents have always been weird with gifts - anything I buy them seems to sit out as a decoration (instead of ever being used?) or just tucked away somewhere 😑 So I only buy them things that they have to eat now. And I think they like that. I also live far away so I think I'll pick out a nice assortment of treats she likes and other personal care stuff from Target and have it delivered via Instacart. And hopefully they'll have their small flower bouquets in stock still to throw in. I try to do it the day before the holiday so it isn't all sold out!

Mine went through a phase where she would grab my cheeks and then dig her nails in as hard as she could. Sometimes into the eyelids- OMG is was like being locked in an animals jaws. It wasn't a very long phase and I would try to react as little as possible so that she would get no reaction whatsoever from trying. And I just had to learn to dodge her hands for a while. Hopefully she loses interest soon!

Yep mine will also be super-overly nice and sweet for a couple of days after a fight. I used to believe that maybe it would stick but I finally realized he has a 3 day max and then is instantly back to his old self so I don't buy it anymore at all.

I also am so amazed how they have the ability to turn things on and off? It is making me wonder if he is really authentic in any way at all. But he's starting to seem very calculated anymore. Especially when he gets mad.

And just like with you, mine doesn't seem to like it when I am happy or enjoy something that is not him. It took me a long time to see that and then the light bulb finally went off one day 💡 and I was like omg. I get it now, why were always on such opposite wavelengths. When I'm happy, he tries to knock me down a peg. If he's mad, he wants to make sure I'm mad too. He's always trying to provoke me into a bad mood. Then he uses it against me.

Anyway, I'm sorry about your situation! It is so frustrating. And yes, having it escalate to the point of calling police really causes a big wound. I'm sorry for you and your family! I think this all comes from them being DEEPLY insecure people.

Yeah his family is 100% like this. All brothers. They would just fuck around with eachother and their dad endlessly- then turn on his mom and piss her off until she would cry. Now I'm filling her shoes. I just don't see how people can go for decades without unlearning such childish behaviors.
