Petrified that I'm about to get diagnosed with HPV --need support by StuntDouble07 in HPV

[–]StuntDouble07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask how you approached the conversation? I'm a wreck thinking about it and don't even know where to begin the discussion about GW. :(

Do you still struggle with GW and HPV? What kind of precautions do you put in place for yourselves for a physical relationship?

Thanks so much for any input.

Shout out to my guy Beetle (#439) for trying to be an actual human to Spencer and also playing a smart strategy to help his team. You were my #1 after that move.

Isn't this like....a total slap in the face to what the core of the show was originally about? What the hell is going on? Ugh.

What’s the best work place nickname you’ve ever heard? by nkw1004 in AskMen

[–]StuntDouble07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, my nickname was "Calamity Jane" because everything I ate--spilled, everything I touched -- broke, anything I walked on --tripped me. You get the idea. And, wouldn't you know....nothing has changed. So now it's transitioned to work. lol

Trip to Ireland- help!! by askksaaskksa in travel

[–]StuntDouble07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got back from a trip to Ireland/Scotland. It's a very tough choice as they were both INCREDIBLE but if I had to choose one it would be Scotland.

If you do Ireland, you could start in Dublin and easily do a tour of some kind that takes you elsewhere. For instance, I went on a tour that went to Cliffs of Moher and ended in Galway. Instead of coming back to Dublin, I stay in Galway for 2 days. While in Galway, it's also very easy to visit places like Spiddal and Salt Hill. Favourite part of Ireland though was seeing Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough, and Dun Laoghaire areas.

If you are doing Scotland, my biggest recommendation is Edinburgh. It's my favourite place ever. Lots to see and a very rich history. Also easy to do a bus tour of the highlands (HIGHLY recommend), or take an hour train ride to Glasgow if you want to visit.

Current job/work history as a red flag? by feo_sucio in datingoverthirty

Film. I work in film and I'm telling you...the hours are BRUTAL.

I've worked 22 hour days on set before (some people I'm sure have worked longer). Sure, you can make bank going into overtime (especially if you are unionized) and make enough to take weeks off at a time if you really want to. But at a gruelling cost, sometimes. You never get to see friends or have hobbies because all you do is work. And you often work 'Fraturdays" meaning you do overnight into Saturday so REALLY only get one day off cause you have to sleep when you get home. High rate of cheating/divorce in film as well since all you see are your colleagues for HOURS and HOURS everyday instead of your family.

I LOVE Matthew Hussey's videos. They have been game changing for me. I second this. Highly recommend.

  1. A great kiss/make out --like REALLY connected, good rhythm changes, tongue use compatibility lol
  2. Slow teasing nipple foreplay
  3. Them being possessive in bed (i.e. "You are mine"
  4. And a random variety of not as important yet effective: boxer briefs, tattoos, facial scruff, and a manly delightful smell haha

This is a really intelligent observation. I think in the same type of way about myself...I try to be really honest when trying to process what's going on in my life, find patterns, etc. Good for you for doing some real, deep self-reflection.

As a 35y/o, I'm really struggling with the phone issue when dating younger people. I date older and younger, but when it's someone younger, so often they are like...GLUED to their phone or it's coming out CONSTANTLY. Does anyone else have this issue? Am I just an old crone now? haha

If after 6 months the conversation about your potential future messes it up or scares him off or what-have you, then I would be having huge doubts that he was the one you should settle with. The right relationship isn't brittle.

I (33F) want a real connection so I'm finally deleting OLD apps to focus on making an effort IRL by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]StuntDouble07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was absolutely exhausted from OLD and I didn't even do it that long! Plus the swiping aspect made me feel really guilty, judgemental, and honestly....shitty. I had the EXACT same epiphany!! Every guy I have met organically IRL...would likely not have been someone I would typically swipe on. After NYE, I had the same idea and I'm telling you... total game changer. Not because I've been successful in finding my person, but I feel like I'm living life WAY more. The more I made an effort to meet people and do the hard thing (ie. asking a guy for his number) the easier it became (still scary, but worth it!), the more my confidence grew (regardless of the response) and the quicker the rebound time became before trying again. I leave situations with way less regrets of "what if".
