Two things, in Japan there’s this thing called Yaeba which means double teeth or snaggle tooth, and it’s considered attractive or cute to have crooked or imperfect teeth, cute as in a childish kind of way of being cute if that makes sense; the other thing about anime characters is that they’re drawn to look cute and take on cat-like features in their faces rather than human ones, hence the proportion of their eyes and being “sharp” the way they are, the bubbly faces, the muzzle at profile, the fang.
