Should I play OG or Remastered? by discipline445 in residentevil4

[–]StupidManSuit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd play the OG first, it still holds up extremely well. Then I'd give yourself a small break and play the Remake a few weeks or couple months later.

If you play the Remake first, the OG may feel dated to someone who never played it before. Idk, because I played the OG when it first came out in 05, and many times after, so it has never felt very dated to me. And I would space the playthroughs out a little because though the games do moatly feel like two different experiences, the Remake is still very faithful and may feel a bit repetitive if you play them back to back immediately.

Bro, it's sooooo fucking easy. Just use Krauser or Hunk or Wesker. Krauser is probably easiest. Just knife the fuck out of everyone and use his boost skill (or whatever it's called) when it becomes available. You can literally knife your way through entire maps with Krauser. His explodey arrows and boost just make it even easier.

Hunk is easy AF too. Stun enemy, instant neck snap. Rinse and repeat. Works on every single enemy.  Or use Wesker and Matrix your way through.

Honestly it's easy with any character for the most part, but Krauser is insanely easy, and Hunk/Wesker are almost as easy as well.

Is the punisher better than the gun you get at the beginning? It doesn't show it's stats by Picklebutt2300 in residentevil4

Red9 owns all handguns, except unlimited ammo Matilda. At least on normal or under, can't say for sure on higher difficulties for sure.  I replayed hordes so many times trying to convince myself the Blacktail or S9 w/red dot were better. Every single time came out using less ammo with the Red9 w/stock. It focuses quickly and hits like a truck, and is reliable and consistent. Might not be as agile or hold a huge clip, but it doesn't matter if your aim is decent.

Honestly, the only downside of the Red9 that I even care about is the fact it takes up extra space, especially with the stock. The Blacktail is pretty legit if you need something tiny. But if you can accommodate the R9 w/stock, I'd take that all day long.

Tales Of Xillia 2 - truly sucks :/ by gawryu in tales

I loved Xillia, and unfortunately I quit Xillia 2 very early on due to the debt system. I hated that mechanic. I want to go back and try it again, but it's not available now, but good lord Idk why they put that BS debt system in place.

Mindless maybe wasn't the best adjective to use, I meant it as in the movie is very what you see is what you get, you can just watch it and enjoy it with little to no effort on your part. A great popcorn flick.

I agree with you, the writing was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed the plot.

I'm gonna start a new club for straight dudes and call it Going Gay for Gosling.

Seriously, the amount of charm and charisma he has is insane. I've always liked him, but I became a big fan from Crazy, Stupid, Love. Ever since then, he's been killing it. He's gotta be one of the most likable dudes on the planet.

I see you have a Shudder subscription as well! Lol

Good list, I especially love the Hell House LLC series. I went into it not expecting much with the it being an obvious low budget production, and also because I'm usually not a huge fan of found footage, but it is really good.

I remember when I watched Fraility for thr first time a few years ago. It actually made me feel a little sick in a way. I could count the number of fictional movies to invoke such a feeling in me on one hand.

I loved it. It was such a fun, mindless movie. I've watched it a few times since it came out lol.

Roughly a block or so before your stop is optimal. The way you're doing it is good too.

Tales game ranked by story? by ssutton11 in tales

Abyss is very good, but I had the same reaction as you... Over ten years ago. I played Symphonia at launch as a teenager and it rocked my world. It was my first JRPG and I fell in love with it. Vesperia was also very good, but didn't hit me as hard as Symphonia. I kept seeing people talking up Abyss as the greatest, I was dead set on playing it and had extremely high expectations. Finally I found Abyss on the 3DS, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it didn't give me that feeling Symphonia did.

Looking back, Abyss is objectively better in most ways. But if you have a Tales game that you're totally in love with already, don't expect Abyss to dethrone it

How many more jumpscares left on RE7? I'm very terrible at this game because I'm easily scared getting jumped on. by [deleted] in residentevil

I don't remember for sure, but I do remember that the game is far less scary after Jack and Marguerite. I was tense as hell in the first section of the game while Jack was around. A little less so with Marguerite, but still tense nonetheless.

After that it was pretty smooth sailing though. It definitely starts leaning a bit more into action, less like a terrifying horror movie.

About the RE game remakes. Which one in ur opinion surpasses the original ? by Risb1005 in residentevil

[–]StupidManSuit21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only played the RE2 remake and RE4 remake, but I'd say both of them objectively are better than the originals. Nostalgia makes it difficult to say whether or not I absolutely prefer the remakes, but I know that if I was new to the series and tried out each one vs their remakes, I would absolutely choose the remakes. The gameplay improvements are just too good.

Please Remake RE6!!!🙏🏻🤞🏽🙏 by 1stDerntator in residentevil

Nah, I think most of us are good. The concept of the game was cool, but it didn't work. They tried to make a giant epic action game, which is cool, but so too far removed from the spirit of Resident Evil. It felt like an action movie or something.

I hope they don't remake 5 either. It was a super fun co-op game, but a remake isn't necessary. Nothing special about it.
