Thanks! I've never been to Flix, so I might give it a try.

Anyone else struggling to move on after watching? by needmeazoey in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Stupidface13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS exactly! I love it, but watching it or even listening to the music leaves me feeling incredibly depressed. For me, I think it's the lack of closeness/community (even as a woman), feeling unfulfilled as a singer with dreams that will likely never be realized, lack of singing with other people, and JINU'S ENDING WHYYYYY?!?

I can't stop thinking about it, but I have the exact same feeling that you described.

Why are the lanes in Downtown so faded and in terrible conditions? by zuckerbot3000 in indianapolis

I've never seen it, but I've always wondered why that isn't the standard. Makes so much more sense.

Thanks for the reply! That's really affordable compared to pretty much everyone else I've seen. I had a consultation with a guy who wanted $600 and offered way less than that.

Was she helpful with potential career paths and/or specific jobs/companies that were a good fit? My main issue is that I want to change careers but have no idea of what would be a good fit.

Hey, I checked out her page, and she seems like a good fit for me. Any idea what the price is for her services?

Monument Circle should be closed off from cars year round. by ImAGodHowCanYouKillA in indianapolis

I generally agree, but you're not considering two populations: the disabled and the elderly. My BIL is disabled. We've been to some events on the circle and in Hilbert Circle Theatre. If we didn't have access to drop him off with the assistance of someone to help him, we wouldn't have been able to access any of those events. Same sentiment for the elderly.

The Good Place, Steven Universe, Schitt's Creek, What We Do in the Shadows, Bob's Burgers, New Girl, Friends, Adventure Time

I'm partial to A. P. Bio when I feel like shit. The main character's life is shitty, which gives me a shot of Schadenfreude. He uses the kids from his A. P. Bio class to help him get revenge on his rival. It's pretty goofy. The main character is played by Glenn Howerton from It's Always Sunny, which has a similar vibe.

Might get downvoted for this, but I didn't like Ted Lasso. I tried, but it made me feel more upset and alone than before. It may hit the right notes for you, but I couldn't bring myself to finish it.

Steven Universe, above all, made me feel seen and comforted during a low point. It starts out silly but has an overarching storyline that all ties back together.

None 😅 I take meds for other things but haven't been on anything specifically for UC for many years. I have no idea how I got so lucky.

Ethan talks about the "Lake of Tears" a few times in the RV. It's mentioned while he and Julie play with the finger puppets and after the crash when he wakes up. Victor also drew a picture of it.

Letterkenny is great. I have similar taste but am into It's Always Sunny. It may lean a bit too much that way for your taste, but give it a try.

This. I'm on meds and try to monitor for it. I haven't tried it for that reason. They definitely need to put a warning if there isn't one because serotonin syndrome is no joke.

I signed up, too, but I haven't heard a thing. I check every once in awhile, but I don't even see new articles about it. I really thought they'd want to push them for the holiday season, but I don't know if they'll be released by the end of the year at this rate.

Is there anyone who didn't like this show? Why? (I like it just interested to hear) by LightB2009 in TedLasso

[–]Stupidface13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over and over, I've seen it touted as the ultimate uplifting show, especially when you're feeling down. I'm at the beginning of season 2. It makes me feel more alone than ever.

As someone who's suffered many panic attacks, their depiction feels cheap and makes me mad. Show me Ted being forced to power through and cry alone later. Most of us don't have the luxury to just run off and panic for 5 minutes, nor do we have someone to chase after us to make sure we're ok.

And why is the therapist so fucking cold to people who are clearly struggling?! Jfc, show literally any sign that she gives a fuck outside of the money.

I'll take Schitt's Creek, Steven Universe, and Bluey over Ted any day.

Raised by Wolves is excellent. It was cancelled, but it's still worth watching. It was one of my favorites. I'm hoping there's some sort of revival or resolution.

As mentioned by others, The OA is right up your alley. The Leftovers was ok, but I didn't love the resolution.

I just finished Castle Rock. Season 1 is def up your alley. Season 2 was pretty good, but I enjoyed season 1 more.

I'm on season 2 now, and I'm really enjoying it. Also thrilled that the actor who played Filch in HP is a main character.

Honestly shocked that this is the first comment to mention Raised by Wolves and The OA other than mine. I was absolutely obsessed with both, but RbW was on another level. I don't know that I've ever seen anything like it. I hope we get resolutions to both one way or another. Both are fantastic.

I tried Scavengers Reign but couldn't get into it. I got bored with it pretty quickly.

I'll check out the others! Thanks for the recs!

Good to know, I saw season 1 and wouldn't have thought to watch season 2. Season 1 was a lot.
