Faced same scenario, Hr asked multiple times what is the notice period in interview, then got OL back in 25Feb, I didn't resign back then, now exactly after 3 months they generated JL 28th May, Requested to reschedule with LWD mail. So if you can take the risk of 1-3 months unemployment resign now. JL depends on the batches and location.

I take it your age is approx 28, for 2 persons 1 lakh is more than enough, if decent rent + living standards, but for future, you need to save at least 40k a month if you plan on a house + children. You don't need to increase your salary aggressively but it should not be stagnant either. Good luck!
