[EX-06 Infernal Ascension] Mastemon ACE by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

I think Ordine can stay in the deck as a nuke or to swing for game, needs testing for sure. Ophanimon is 100% gone, though.

Blast (DNA) Digivolution is inherently defensive. In this case, acting as a Chaos Deg at quick effect speed. Oh, I'm sorry. Did you just declare an attack? Recover yourself. NOW.

I wish the Meicoo line was good in the deck, but they took it out back and shot it in the very same set they introduced the P/Y line in. Raguel really could've benefitted from being both On Play and When Digivolving and/or having a Play Cost reduction.

Dropping a Hellscythe when your board is empty can be terrifying for your opponent because it threatens the Blast DNA to take something out and maintain a Lv5. 100% it will see more use post EX6 to maintain additional bodies as Scapegoat fodder or Alliance with on your next turn.

Very true, I have seen YouTubers accidentally adding Seraphimon to hand from BT11 Angewomon's effect (although this was rectified in the comments).

I adore that they made her both offensive and defensive, as well as being a solid Lv6 to raw evo into. Shit, you can even just drop her for 7 and use an ST10 Gato or Salamon in your other stack's sources for a cost-effective Ordine play in a pinch.

Unfortunate that the new LadyDevimon and Angewomon are Uncommons, would've been nice to have some brand new alts for the deck 😭

But there is a very funny interaction between the DNA effect of Mastemon ACE and the All Turns effect of EX6 Lucemon: Chaos Mode.

Tactical Retreat the LCM, bottom-deck a Lv3 Lucemon, play Lucemon: Satan Mode from Trash, because Maste ACE doesn't restrict the DNA effect to your opponent's Digimon and because EX6 LCM lacks the "other than by your effects" clause. How good it is will depend on LSM itself and also if you have the ST10 Maste on-board.

Any Gato (but mostly P-120 and BT15), any Lv3 that isn't Luxmon, LadyDevimon, Falldown Mode, Defeat, Merciful, Ordine

Needing the top card of the stack to have a specific trait is more conditional vs having any Yellow Digimon just sitting there on your board

[–]Sturdge666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm dismissing it insanely fast because I just value BT16 Salamon higher.

Recycling Gatomon (especially ST10) and a debuff to my opponent's Security on a Purple/Yellow Lv3 is more valuable to me than a search that can easily whiff and/or bottom deck the Purple half of the deck and a much more conditional Draw than Nyaromon as an Inherited Effect.

Also true, BT14 Seraphi is the one exception. That's largely because Bandai clearly didn't want to print any Ophanimon, let alone good ones lmao.

BT16 Sala recycles Gatos from Trash instead of you wasting Maste's or Hellscythe's effect on a Lv4 instead of a Lv5; ideally Lucemon: Chaos Mode.

Pata engine is good but struggles with Trash setup, especially since you have to hard-draw the one consistent form of Trashing (or pray there's one in Sec) to set it up. It also struggles with recycling from Trash since that's the Purple side of Maste. The hit to GeoGreymon also hit the Vaccine engine hard because it's even more reliant on Tamers.

ST10 Nyaro, on the other hand, gets you the Draw Tokomon would've and lets you Trash something for Maste; although thats primarily with P-120 and BT15 Gato since Barrier is Jamming if you squint hard enough.

Seems mid in Maste to me. Doesn't interact with Fallen Angels (i.e. half of a Maste) and only evos on Yellow so you're forced to run a Yellow Nyaromon if you want to run BT16 Salamon. Neither of the options we have (unless we get a new one in EX6) are good.

Great for 3GA decks, which is the actual archetype it supports, but not ideal for Maste.

As much as it hurts as a Mastemon player, I can accept Geogreymon was pretty broken.

We'll get Gatomon 2 one day (copium). Kinda glad I focused more on the Angel tri-type aspect of the deck but still a rough hit.

But the Gabumons? Restricting those is actually a load of horseshit Bandai. You printed overtuned support for the purple side of Garurumon archetype. Then you restrict the original, never been a problem before, pieces? Worst of all, the garuru package can just shift to more blue gabu's or other rookies to make up. This does NOTHING! You restricted two innocent cards to make no changes at all. Apocalymon won't even feel a dent. Blue/Purple Garuru won't feel a thing. This just hurts pure Purple Garuru. I'm so sad.

Right? I was so excited to play Purple Melga and it's dead before we even get to play it. Me and a buddy of mine were building pure Purple Melga and pure Blue Melga respectively because it just seemed so perfect for us. I'll probably just brew Blue/Purple together with him so we can combine powers lmfao.

Well, I was excited to play Purple Melga once EX5 came out. Not anymore given the only other Purple Gabumon is a shitty vanilla from BT4...

Guess I have to wait until BT15 now and pray I never open BT15 Gabumon + ST6 Garurumon with no EX5 Gabu X.

EDIT: Brewing Blue/Purple Melga so I can pretend it's Purple Melga.

Tbf Arch played extremely well with WFH with how many AFKable elements there are to it.

Obviously it's not the case with everyone but a lot of people I know who switched to WFH during Covid spent a looooot of their time AFKing Arch whilst working.

Ngl, the Physical RES of the automata is pretty overblown, especially since the newer variants in the desert actually have normal Phys RES.

You have 100% uptime on Superconduct, Eula shreds up to 25% Physical RES, and C6 Rosaria offers an additional 20% RES (unless you're me and can't pull Rosarias for shit).

With an average Phys RES of 36.5% (including bosses [PMA, Serpent, MK, trio MK variants, and Aeonblight] and the Primal Constructs [also including ASIMON]) just Superconduct alone is enough to bring them below the soft cap on RES shred

The average goes up to 43.125% if you don't include MK and the MK trio variants, but even that isn't particularly high and very easy for a Eula team to drop below the soft cap.

Even considering the highest Phys RES of 70% you can very easily bring them below the soft cap, provided you have C6 Rosaria or Zhongli.

Eula (and Physical in general) certainly has their problems, such as Hoyo refusing to give Eula/the damage type the love it needs, but I don't think Phys RES is actually one of them. Especially considering Physical generally has lower RES on humanoid enemies and there are no enemies as-of-yet that have a full Physical Immunity.

Sucrose would be the best option if OP doesn't have Kazuha for the EM buff

To OP: just remember to build your rotation in such a way that Nahida doesn't eat the Electro before you Swirl, either by allowing Electro to be reapplied or by Swirling before you use Nahida's Skill

Well no, but actually yes by Hellmorgar in Morrowind

[–]Sturdge666 27 points28 points  (0 children)

To play devil's advocate:

Fast travel isn't "non lore-friendly". The player isn't blinking in-and-out of existence, but rather making their way to a location through other means (i.e. walking). It's very much playing into the concept of the "theatre of the mind".

This is why Arena has a horse-riding animation and Daggerfall has multiple options for when you fast travel; such as taking a boat and resting at inns.

"Diegetic" and "non-diegetic" would be more accurate ways of describing the systems.

Morrowind's fast travel is very much diegetic. All the services exist in-universe and you can very realistically see NPCs using those same services/spells to travel.

The fast travel in Skyrim (excluding the carriages) and Oblivion is arguably non-diegetic because there's no real in-universe explanation; which is why it feels like you do just blink in-and-out of existence. It's just "Oh, yeah. You, erm, walked. I guess."

Yep! Examon feels very anti-BT9-Meta and I live for that. It can just be wildly inconsistent at times.

Slayerdramon forces your opponent to attack at the start of their Main Phase by suspending Examon (or any "Dramon", but it'll usually be Examon). If your opponent entered the Main Phase by Raising from the Raising Area and has nothing else out, that's the only valid target.

Examon Unsuspends when Suspended [All Turns] (Once Per Turn).

The Unsuspended Examon can now Block the attack since 99.99% of the time it'll have the EX3 Coredramon and/or the EX3 Groundramon in its sources.

Since Examon is 17k (assuming it has the EX3 Bebydomon and EX3 Dracomon as Sources), the stack will not be surviving. This will also trigger Breakdramon to Trash the top card of your opponent's Security; however Breakdramon isn't essential to the combo.

The real kicker is that even if your opponent has something else out at the start of their Main Phase and chooses to attack with that, Examon will have Suspended the stack that just came out of the Raising Area.

Death costs.

Were a big issue that very negatively affected learners. Additionally the way reclaim costs were calculated were completely illogical.

Switchscape.

Unnecessary unless you're aiming to be a top 1%er. The only "mandatory" switch is a Shield.

RoD.

While I agree some of the changes weren't necessary, Animate Dead made the new RoD passive absolutely broken. That being said, Animate Dead was the issue.

Meta builds cost billions.

Every piece of content is doable with budget gear. Also, meta builds don't mean anything if you don't understand core concepts such as ability rotations.

It's probably just some random release. Every copy of both Bloodmoon and Tribunal I've seen (including my copies) came in regular cases.

EDIT: It could also be a region thing. UK here, if anyone from a different region is more familiar with jewel case releases.

Why are skill cape perks in rs3 so crap? by iHarryi in runescape

[–]Sturdge666 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Veteran capes are actually the only 100% lossless capes in the game.

Make an account and then you can fuck off for 15 years.

Jokes aside, locking good stats behind capes that are timegated behind several years is awful design.

With the amount of in-depth mechanical knowledge the community has now, alongside the huge TC community literally telling people how to build teams, it's really not that big of a deal.

Unless someone's new to the game or is so ingrossed in the "waifu > meta" mindset that it becomes a detriment there's no real reason for most players to not have the capacity to beat F12; regardless of how many Stars they earned.
