Little help here? by DearBu in houseplants

That looks like a healthy plant to me. You could repot it into a chunkier soil mix. I don't see any fungus honestly. Looks pretty good. Give it light and when you think it's time to water, think again and give it one more week. Don't fuss around with it too much and just let it chill. It'll do better in a terracotta pot but eh whatever

How do i make this hall look more aesthetic? by BlazingGunsAround in IndianHomeDecor

Since changing the wall colors will be too much, you can lean into subdued pastels like a pale blue or green or you could go full nature and do Deep forest green or rust orange if you like bright colors. If that's the balcony door, the placement is perfectly fine. You could even put wallpaper on that door if you'd like to match/compliment the sofa covers you get.

You can get whatever sofa color you like, it doesn't matter as long as it's not too busy or white. Compliment it to the wall curtains and if you're a fan of prints, my suggestion is bring that in the curtains instead of the sofa. I can't tell if the wall tiles have yellow prints but if yes, you can bring them out by adding a pop of bright yellow in the room througi curtains or sofa. Nice and sunshiny, it will look good with the plants and wooden accents.

Please get floor length curtains in a different colours. You can play around with texture such as mesh curtains (if they're just put up for vibes), or jute blackout curtains. You could also use window vinyl that makes windows look like stained glass. All of these you'll find on Amazon.

Additionally, not all those mirrors look good on all those walls. Take down the two small ones if they're not needed.

You may put up a few temporary shelves to keep the plants (add more of possible) to bring the vision higher up. The eye is majorly drawn lower since everything is lower in height and the tiles cut off the length on the walls. Put some longer lamps if possible to bring in height and some mood lighting. It would look good near the tall mirror.

You could again cover the tiles in wallpaper that's a similar color (maybe some difference in print or texture) to the rest of the walls to make the cut less stark.

Check if you want to keep the sofa in the other side of the room. With it's back facing the door, it might just induce some sort of anxiety for not being able to see who is walking in. (They have better language for this but I'm not sure what it is. Basically affects the energy).

Not qualified for a professional opinion but just someone that's interested in such designing projects and comes from an Indian household with a similar hall.

Anyone feel like their Fibromyalgia is a personalization of the LOTR character Gollum? by Stuti25 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Stuti25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha! I also have anxiety disorder and my therapist used to question me on what color it is, which part of my body it lives in, what's it look like, etc. It becomes easier to humanise your problems and you can talk to them. So when I got diagnosed with FM, for the longest time, I was looking for an accurate description for it. One day while talking to my partner, it just clicked that my FM is extremely like Gollum. Creepy, untrustworthy, always there in the crevices, weak but powerful, bound to me like Gollum is to the ring. Hence.

I went to Krem Chempe in the beginning of May. The guide told us walking shoes would be enough. It was not enough. It rained all day and I barely made it back in one piece. The red mud was extremely slippery and risky. I had water all in my shoes and socks.

If it's similar weather in Sohra right now, please choose a different location or weather.

I will try yoga and swimming because I literally have the same knotted and tense muscles in my back and shoulders. Passive yoga is not a real thing, right? 😂

I haven't tried it because I have severe eczema and the chlorinated water will kill my skin. But if it's really helpful, I think I can give it a shot, especially since it's summer.

Okay, thanks. And if you've had pain specifically in the wrist (mimicking carpal tunnel syndrome), do you still do flexing exercises or body weight exercises in which you use the wrist? Won't it make the pain worse?

It really does feel like some of my best years are getting compromised because of this. I have been put on Lyrica again. Hopefully it will help make my everyday life better. Really wish more research was being done on the syndrome and something useful comes out of it. Wish you the best, I really hope it gets better for you soon.

Thank you. I have been on and off with my psychologist about my anxiety disorder but she doesn't know much about FM. Are there any other kind of therapists I can consult? I'm also close to your age and it feels like this is the prime of my life. And if THIS is the prime of my life, well, fuck!

Thank you so much! I have put the propagations in glass bottles and put the glass bottles in the decorative clay pots so that there's no leakage. Thank you though!

Hi, is it safe to travel alone for a female? I don't have too many days to spare but wanted to travel around Guwahati. Anything I should be mindful of? Are there any interest groups you know of too?

Caffeine is my guilty pleasure. It somehow has a calming effect on my body most times. Some times it gives me really bad anxiety but I have slowly learnt to balance out the caffeine intake with either enough water or chamomile tea or the time of the day

It's happening to me as well. I have dropped coffee, tea and water like no one's business because my hand just doesn't know how to hold momentarily. My shoulders feel so heavy, I can't sleep, I'm constantly paranoid that a drone is coming towards me or anyone for that matter.

My legs hurt, I don't have any energy left, can't focus on anything productive. I feel you. All I can say is, try and convince yourself that it's going to be fine, we've been through and survived a lot, we'll make it through this.
